Does this service exist?

Does anyone know if it's possible to give people abroad a way to call me on my birthday without them spending anything? I would pay for the calls but I don't want to purchase a phone card for each of my friends abroad. Is there other alternatives to phone cards?

By the way, my friends don't have skype nor have headsets, PC to phone won't do. It has to be phone to phone. Again, I can pay for the service and I don't want to pay for phone cards but only for individual calls.

  • As far as I know you can have them call you reverse charges. But its an awful expensive way to get birthday greetings. Wouldn't a card suffice

  • get a webcam, headset and microphones for the pcs and everything should work out. you get visual and audio at the same time and probably for little to no extra expenses.

    • I have about 20 friends and they live in different cities so that would be quite expensive for me...hehe
  • Buy a calling card and give them the phone number and PIN# to make the call using the card. They can all use the same card and you won't have to mail anything.

  • So you want them to be able to go through resources that could cost a LOT, and basically pay NOTHING?

    Calling cards are likely not likely to really work, as you have to call a certain number. You DID say "abroad", which generally means other countries. Wattslines, etc... can ALSO cost a lot. Skype IS your best bet.

    • I clearly stated that I CAN PAY FOR THE SERVICE as long as there is a way to pay for individual calls rather than pay for phone cards, got it? and no, skype is not a solution, also stated I needed a phone to phone solution.
