Ha, nice... I got a phone call from someone yesterday with a phone number of just "300-2", it was a computerized voice that sounded like Stephen Hawking telling me that my credit card had a problem and to enter the number....

I wonder what their conversion rate was?

You know, if this wasn't so serious, it would be funny. The sad thing is that some people will actually fill out the form. Not that it really matters, as all of your information is out there and freely available. The crooks know how to get it, this just makes it easier to steal the credit card information.

But credit is only about 20% of identity theft, medical and drivers licenses and your Social Security number are just three more things that they want.

So many people have had the IRS contact them to tell them that they didn't report all of their income, when they find out that as many as five other people are using their SS number. But the IRS doesn't give up so easily, it is your number so you owe the tax. O well. The prevalence of this type of crime makes it so it is not IF you get your identity stolen, it is When.

I am glad that I have my identy protected by the number one firm in the industry, so they will restore it if there I have a breach.
