Still waiting for connection after 6 days!

So I just moved to Stockton, CA for awhile - Clearwire was my server in Boise and since I paid around 200 bucks 6 months ago for a modem, etc, I just figured I would transfer service, right? They said "nationwide".

That was 6 days ago and I am still waiting - of course now it's Easter, so I have to wait for the holiday.

I have been on the phone with them probably a total of 8 hours, been "expedited" 3 times then find out that they did something wrong - just found out yesterday they didn't change billing so I have already paid for this month even though I am not able to get my service started. 3 days in a row I was on the phone giving all the info (modem serial numbers, etc) and nobody had any record of me doing so the day before. It's like the twilight zone.

Yesterday I talked to a supervisor who told me the whole sorry story about how business is booming, and they can't keep up, can't train people fast enough, yadda, yadda. I was furious. Told him that isn't my business, my business is to be online and their business is to put me back online........then I asked for a Manager, and I was not "allowed" to speak to someone, 'cause then everyone would want to" to which I replied - if you could figure out your own business perhaps there would be no need for people to talk to managers.

So here I am after 6 days, no Inet (I'm on someone else's computer now) yet I've paid the bill - and I can't get a manager's extention to talk to one.
So I am left looking for the number or any other contact for the corporate office so I can chew them a new one. Guess it will be the BBB and FCC next week.

When did we get so fascist that our corporations feel that they can literally crap on their customers and that it's just all fine and good?

Anyway - I've been hitting twitter with this everyday and now I'm branching out so every day I am offline because they can't figure out what is going on, more and more people are finding out how destitutely stupid that company's customer service department is.

So I figure that they would be at least as intelligent to know that they should get me online just to have the bad PR spreading.

If I weren't into it for 200 bucks, I'd be dropping this company like rotted road kill..

NO, THEY DON'T CARE! As for organizations to contact, I believe the PUC(Public Utilies Commission) applies ALSO! As for the 200 bucks, if they don't control any other think you are involved with, you might consider demanding a refund, and getting a WAN type device, like EVDO through the wireless companies. It sounds like it costs less.

      So lets see.....

You have been saddled with a move to California, the city (and area) of Stockton AND Clearwire's famous customer service/technical quality all at the same time?????

Can't think of anything good to say about California right now, and my memories of Stockton are over 40 years old----mostly the peat dust settling on everything as they plowed the surrounding ag fields---but it seems you have much much company battling the inequities of Clearwire services>>>>>

LMAO - I now have the contact, phone and email, for the Vice President of customer retention. LOL.

Hey - I'm going to talk this dude so low that his peepee is going to shrivel and fall off. I eat VP for lunch. If I have to change my service right now I'm hitting the FCC. One pissed off wench. At least I have the satistifaciton of slapping the right person in the face this time. Supervisor whined that he couldn't give me a manager's contact........I told him I would get it myself, and he chuckled at me. I hope the VP enjoys that story. It will be massively demasculating. LOL. I haven't decided who else to sharpen my claws on yet. Holy cow I have never talked to such a bunch of just blatantly stupid humans in my life. I told em I wanted some of what they were taking but he refused to offer me some in retribution for the lengthy wait. Jerk.

Maybe you should leave out the peepee, cat, and emasculating references like you mentioned here, since they may simply make you look like some sexist kid.

BTW vice president of customer satisfaction? Do you even think that is a real title? It may be a simple position for SHOW!

His title, Steve, is VP of Customer Service, and once that email hit his desk I was online in a half an hour, so whatever wording I used, it apparently was on target - and I'm not a sexist kid, I'm a sexist old lady.

Still can't get my phone to work but that could be just me or the phone, will check that one out tomorrow. Tonight - I'm just glad to have my computer working again.

Val -- my sister is here. I won't be staying permanently but will be here awhile. Just going to try to find a way to make it palatable. Having the computer running will sure help that one.

That's right, Indy. I now have the personal number for the Mgr of Administration and she's a hoot. I have a good price and the guys at the top were horrified with what I told them. I told the VP of CS that I doubted his lucidity if he wasn't so embarrassed by the incident that he was ashamed to say where he worked.

Actually the company has some severe stuff going on from what I can tell, but once aware of what is going on the people at the top care very much about straightening it out. They are doing a LOT of hiring right now and are changing their equipment, etc. and their CS agents are 10 buck an hour workers and don't seem to be able to completely "get" what the new system is all about. I'd hate to be a manager there right now. The supervisor I talked to was a complete idiot. If I had the authority I'd have fired him 5 minutes into our conversation - he screwed up telling me that he could not allow me to contact a manager. I told him not a problem, I could find one, but seeing that I was being left to do that on my own, they would be very high up in the company and that it wasn't going to be a good thing for him at all. LOL - it wasn't.

You are not the only country that suffers from this. We changed internet providers here last year and it took 7 days to get the right connection. My husband kicked up about it and they finally delivered a dial up modem to our house. LOL I was not a happy person.

Corporations are the same everywhere, Sue. They became so greedy and so abusive of the human resources that it's hard to find employees that actually give a hang about their company any more. How much loyalty do you show someone that you know will slit your throat any time there is an extra dime in it for them? Then you find a company where the people at the top actually care, but the whole corporate system has been tainted now and they are really going to have to pull some magic tricks to get their minions to follow suit.
