Hello Fellow Warriors,

I have never used Joomla. I have a client who has a Joomla site and I would like to change it to Wordpress with the least amount of hassle. Does anyone have experience doing this? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Steve

As far as I know, there is no 'magic button' for the change, they are two different types of software

I'm not super experienced at joomla, but I know it a little. You need to do two things at least:

    1. copy the design (template) over - although I guess you might be re-designing this
    2. copy the web pages over

I think you can do a bit of this with rss feeds, but it's likely to be as quick just to copy the pages over (if there are less than 30 or so).

The rest of the move will depend on how much customization has been done on the joomla setup.

Well copy will never be done but you can move the content whit some old fashion hard work.
style etc will have to be done manually.
