We can create the world the way we want, we have the technology
so everyone can have enough food, clothing, and a nice home,
there is no need for money or jobs.

It is time for humans to go beyond having to survive, how many people
around the world are poor or are at a job they don't like, or are
in debt, unhealthy dependent on pills.

I think our world is pretty primitive, the amount of suffering that goes on
and unhappiness. Too many people deny this.

I've thought these thoughts for a couple years, now maybe it is manifesting itself.

Our crazy monetary system keeps everyone enslaved.

Well, now I gotta go make more money, aren't you tired of having to do that yet. I AM.

I disagree, people may feel they need structure and purpose,
but that is because that is what they are used to.

I've been a teacher for some years of my life and when I have
summers off, I have no structure or purpose and I don't care.

Structure and purpose are only needed when you want to accomplish something,
even then take an artist or a writer, they may only paint or writer
      when they feel inspired.

I think the people who really like to build houses will build and design houses
better than if you hired someone to do it because they will be doing what
they love to do. These people will want to create different houses to satisfy
their creativity. We all don't have to have the same house. Maybe at first
to get the foundation going, meaning so no one is homeless.

Maybe there are people who really like to mix drinks and mix music
at a disco, the like the night life.
I know there are teachers that love to teach, I'm sure they will come
up with creative ways to express what they are teaching, to students that really
want to learn not for the purpose of getting a job but because of a sincere
      interest.

Food is not scare at all, there are lots of people that love to work with animals
as well as those that enjoy gardening and farming.

People will do better work because their basic needs are taken care of,
thus no pressure from a boss or having to pay bills.

There is a wide variety of human characteristics and interests to have
people do what is necessary for certain tasks.

What should be automated are energy resources like wind, solar, tide, and thermal.
In the beginning labor is needed to set it up, again there will be those that love
engineering my Father in law who is an engineer loves to just put things together
      without reading the instructions.

Without the pressure of having to survive people will be open to try
new things as well, this will lead to the self-discovery of new interests
and hidden natural aptitudes that were once hidden because they felt stuck
in a job in order to survive.

Today people can only experience this when they have created enough of
a passive income, only then do they explore new avenues.

      and on and on...

I have a feeling this would actually turn into darwin's theory if it were a utopia. Some people would do nothing at all and waste their life away, their children would suffer from it, and we would evolve our way back to how things are now. There is a reason things are the way they are. Over time we have learned necessary things that must be done to survive, if you eliminate certain things we would be weaker as a whole.

I guess I have some philosophical differences with some of the views on 'evil' at the beginning of the video.

Let's say we grew up in societies without bigotry and criminals around us to give us examples of 'evil'. Wouldn't there still be things like sexual desire since it's biological in nature? Wouldn't there be some who gratified themselves due to these biological desires sometimes abusing others with those desires with things like rape, molestation, and other abuse? Are those really taught first? Not to get too explicit on the subject, but haven't there been some who 'figured out' sexual things without being told about it or seeing examples and use others around them as their 'currency they desire'?

What about the mentally unstable or mentally challenged who end up hurting others around them? Or the sociopaths who are completely destructive?

It seems that they overlook all this and act like it doesn't exist at all and everyone will get along.

    Technocracy isn't the answer either.

    1) Get corporations out of politics. Separation of Religion and State, yes, but what about business and state? Corporations have WAYYY too much influence in making laws to the extent that THEIR PROFITS are the bottom line, not what's good for the people.

    2) with a Technocracy....it continues the same nonsense. We cannot digest GMO food. Hybred seed is only good for ONE GROWING SEASON....then it takes SEVEN ( 7 ) years to stabilize and become eatable again. No, we need to stop genetically manipulating everything, and do back to seed-bearing, or clipping-transplant crops.

Many varieties and species of food is now extinct because of the greed of corporation who now want to take over and control food for the world ( Monsanto ), which will lead to mass starvation because they are going to screw with the plants so that they can patent them.

We should have local community farms ----vacant lots? where food is grown for the community and the community pays a fee according to the number of people in the family. They work the land if they have no money, or watch the kids for others if you are disabled or provide another service. Someone should have chickens----free range, where you can get the eggs for the week, not this nutrition-less store bought sorry pasty poor excuse for an egg! this could be done in cities, and have more food than we know what to do with. Save the seed for next year.

the problem with this idea is that people are so stupid! Some jerk would vandelize the plants, destroy the crops and steal the food. it's a good idea, but there are too many people who are incompetants in society that they would mess it up for everyone.

I have been a member of seed savers, and whenever I buy seed for herbs I always buy heirloom so that I can collect the seed for the next year. The few things that I grow in my potted garden is the best that you've ever tasted.....most of the seed are at least 40 + generations of stability.

    Anyway, food for thought

Umm thats only because we have been conditioned to believe having a job is normal and necessary. Because of this, those without a job, feel like a loser or that they don't belong.

Deep down most would prefer to not stress about bills and live in holiday mode for the rest of their lives...not work 9 to 5.

"The thing about jobs is that people actually need them for a sense of purpose and structure.
Ever been unemployed for a long period?
You start to go a little crazy when you have nothing to do. You feel listless, depressed, tired and totally demotivated. "

if we keep the monetary system there should be some basic standard of living
and quality of life, too many people have both parents working, or one working
two jobs, or living pay check to pay check, humans have been on earth too long
to still have to struggle to survive.

I think everyone should get a minimum amount of money say $30,000
a year enough for a decent home, food, clothing, a car. Then if you want more
you go out and work, or start a business.

This idea that humans have to keep paying, paying, paying, has to end,
what if we looked at money as just a tool, and we fixed prices, and there
were really no more profits, money was just used as a way to buy things
instead of trade, and everyone had enough of it to buy what they needed.
      Like Monopoly money.

It used to be a man could work one job and pay for everything, and his wife
could stay home and take care of the kids. Now both parents have to work.
Lower quality of life, I think.

This was the idea of the powers that be, if they could get women to work
the government could get more taxes and women could buy more stuff,
creating more profits for corporations, thus they created womens liberation
brainwashing women to think they have to be like men to measure up, creating
all sorts of social pressures for American women.
