anyone else think this movie was absolutely brilliant?
it's like the thinking man's starship troopers.
the sociopolitical symbolism was unexpectedly heavy.
need more films like this. ones NOT produced by micheal bay!

    It was a good movie. Not GREAT but really good. I loved the South African accents. Pulled off brilliantly. I heard they are making a second one.

      YEAH! It was an interesting concept! A show done to make it almost look like a propaganda film speaking of a society that relishes those fighting for humanity's freedom against an alien insect society that is highly specialized and structured. I liked the cast and humor also.

        I thought it was the aliens who were fighting back against the humans who had attacked them first? Or wasn't that at least alluded to? (It's been years since I saw it, so I may be wrong.)

          Well, it WAS a propaganda film, WHAT do you expect? 8-) I mean SERIOUSLY, it made it look like an internet site.....

          You might be right, but the bugs weren't 100% innocent. They gained control, and COULD have had peace, but used their allies as SPYS, and made things WORSE!
