My idea is to outsource everything I do online and travel the world. I know parts of the world I travel to will not have any internet access so im looking for a world phone or a satellite phone.

Have you ever used one and any suggestions for what I should get?

I think if I had a Satellite phone it wouldnt matter where I am I could always be connected but then again im thinking if its really rainy and cloudy where im at I might not have a connection. And do satellite phones do internet? Maybe I will hire a VA just for calling me and managing my other employees. Or something like that. Im not that big yet online but wanna be.

I like Iridium, and service is available virtually anywhere on the planet, and you can get it prepaid without any contracts. I have been to Africa with it, and some of my friends have said it works well in Antartica. The cost is about $1,500 for the phone, and $2.20 per minute. You can tether the phone for internet access.

Unless you are going into some VERY remote areas, you might consider just getting SIM cards for your phone.
