Hi there guys,

Only I recently started experimenting the blogging platform, and yeah I know I was pretty late. I 'd like to know how do you guys drive traffic to your own blogs?
and I mean genuine traffic where ppl leave feedback and create back links.
Much appreciated.

P.S. my blog link is in my signature.

  • Like ProBlogger said: become the source. Write about something useful that you would share to your friends yourself.
  • Blog a lot and make every post revolve around a keyword.

Then at least go to pingler.com after every post and ping the blog.

    Also...

Go to kping.com after every post and let the blog directories know you have a new post.

    • Like TL said.
Also don't be surprised if you don't get any comments or only a few.
From my experiences it seems most people will just read and leave.

By the way my original answer was going to be by bus

    • HI guys,
this was pretty helpful.. Am gonna apply all these strategies into my blog..
    • Ok alrite.. I also use pingomatic though ur suggestion actually pinged to more site.. thx!
  • I would say the above post is really good idea. I also have a blog that gets a reasonable ammount of traffic but very few comments. I find that quite frustrating at times.
I am going to do what myob suggests, don't know why I hadn't thought of that.

  • there are blog swap / resource type sites such as entrecard.com and cmfads.com , it's been ages since i visited those sites but they should still exist.
  • Social bookmarking (digg, reddit, mixx, delicious, folkd) and social networking (facebook, orkut, myspace, twitter) are good source of traffic.

  • Up top click "search", type "traffic" as your search term. Put aside a couple of weeks to read all the results.
