Forum posting limits

I am pretty sure it's been mentioned a million times already, but why are there restrictions on who can post where or send PM's based on the number of posts you have made?

It's very frustrating and highly restrictive for new members or those of us that have legitimate business to do, but have to make inane posts to be allowed to use the resource for work.

Can anyone explain why the restrictions are in place?

Many thanks.

  • The rule is in place to stop new members from spamming the pm system. Trust me, that used to happen a lot.

The rule as it stands simply asks you to give a little back to the forum by posting some useful content before you get full functionality. Is that too much to ask?

On top of all that, if you're here to do legitimate business, you'll probably want a War Room membership anyway (the best $37 you'll ever spend) - get one of those, and your pm restrictions will magically disappear

    • Not knowing what the restrictions are or why they are in place tells us you haven't bothered to read the rules.

Your account is from 2007 - 3 posts last year and several this week. Did you buy your WF account recently?:p

PMs are for "private messages" not for "private marketing" - and that's why there are restrictions.
