Hey, I might look into hiring a guy to write my WSO since I tried, and it ended up bad (Haven't posted it, but looks ugly as hell) .... So I just wanna know what price would you guess it would cost me?

  • Well, I certainly can't speak for other writers; but, I am paid by the word. I get paid to edit and re-write; and, to also make other writing changes to the content.

I charge individually for each task I must perform. Depending on the length of content(number of words) and the necessary changes I needed to make.

It can work out to be as cheap as 2-5 cents a word for 500-1000 words of content.

Writing changes will bring this cent/word figure up to 10 cents.

Fresh and original content for copywriting purposes will work out to upwards of$1.00 per word. Again, this is me.

Generally speaking, most writers are somewhere in between.

Editing a page of content for re-editing purposes can be as cheap as $5.00 per page; if there are a few dozen or even hundred pages to edit at a time.

Hope this gives you a better idea of the costs involved.

By the way, just a note in passing...I am available as a writer. No strings attached...
  • You need a copywriter.

    Copywriters are expensive.

By way of example, I've never written copy for less than $150, and that's because it was a JV. My lowball bottom-of-the-barrel price for close personal friends is $300, but since I get half the profits on this product, I'll just take $150 out of the other guy's cut.

My usual price is $2,500 for a standard long-form sales page.

There are cheaper ones out there, but you're not likely to find anyone who will do it for less than $97, and you'll be lucky to find one who doesn't suck for less than $397.

My advice would be to get a course on copywriting instead, and just make your own copy less amateurish. Then post a link to your WSO in the Copywriting forum, and ask for a critique... understanding that many of the people critiquing you are professionals who charge their clients several thousand dollars for this.

So if they say something is stupid and wrong and needs to change, don't argue. They know what they're talking about. If you're humble, don't appear stupid, accept criticism well, and take action based on the advice you get - progressively more and more experienced copywriters will offer small bits of advice for free. We have some top-drawer copywriters here, and they'll help you a lot if you're willing to be helped.

    • Don't do this! You will simply get your thread deleted!

All the other advice was great!

  • WOW, I'm not intersted prefer to write my own then
  • I have lots of online talents but just have not decided on which and where to offer them. I guess a good list and where would be very beneficial to me as may to others as well.

    • Are you asking for "advice" on the WSO that went live right after you started this thread?

I'd have to file this under "good try".
