A very close friend has been taken by the Reaper.
I'll be leaving here in NY in a couple of hours to ride down to Fl. for the funeral. I should be back by Weds.

Any prayer's for Spacer and the family he left behind are welcome.

    RIP Spacer.

Have a safe trip Thom and rejoice that your friend is free now, although everyone will miss him.

      Thank you my friend.
Jim was the first to go out of the crew I rode with 40 years ago in a while.
He was also the first not to be killed in a motorcycle accident.
It was an honor to know him and call him my brother.

Thank you Pat, I made it 1/2 hour before the service started. Jim was a Christian and is with God now.
In addition to the service he was given a 21 gun salute by the VFW and I just recieved a PDF about him that was written by his Marine Commander.
After I read it I'll put it on line and link to it.

Thom, it seems like a lot of people here are losing friends and loved ones
        lately.

Reminds you of how too damn short it all is.

My prayers for the family and condolences to you and them.

Spacer was real special to me.
He's the person I meet up with who was visiting from Fl. and who I rode down to Fl. to see while you where here.

Oh No, Thom! I didn't realize that was him. That really is a deeper blow for you than I knew. You two had one awesome ride together in more ways than one. I am sooooo sorry to hear this, my friend.

Crap, I hope there is a great punchline for all of this when we get to the other side.

You ever want to offload, talk about him Thom, send me a pm or email.

            The offer is there.

You keep your chin up mate.

            Best wishes,

            Mark
            Thanks Mark.
The 1,300 mile motorcycle ride to the service and the 1,500 mile ride home gave me plenty of time to reflect and think about his death, and more importantly his life.
The best way I know to honor him is to keep him in my heart and live my life as he taught me.
That and a tat in his memory
