SHOCKING! - Kindergarten Kids forced to go near naked in winter!

I stumbled upon this video about school bullies recently and was completely shocked to learn that there are kindergartens in Japan that espouses "Naked Education" the aim of which was to toughten up children.

Naked Education: Learning To Undress For Success - Orlando Sentinel

Pupils are encourgaed to go naked from the waist up all day long, all year round, summer througy winter, outdoors and indoors (unheated). There are prizes for those who go "bare belly" all through the winder months from Nov to Feb, and a grand prize for the pupil who bared the most throughout the year.


In the video, it was clear that it was quite cold indoors or else the english teached from the UK would not worn that much clothing. It seems that the kindergarten is still going strong.

    Letting the kids hang outside during cold weather for a short time - like before school or during some recess periods should do the trick of toughening up most kids - if that's the goal.

    Skimpy clothing is a little much but I guess the kids will survive.

    Apparently, some normal Japanese kindergartens have a 15 minute naked towel rub-in everyday outside to toughen the kids. But the kindergarten in question requies the kids to go sem-naked all the time for 3 years. The winters in Japan are more severe than those in the UK. A lot of Chinese parents working in Japan had complained about the toughness of Japanese schools. In return, the schools told the parents off for spoiling their kids. I suppose there is some merit in that.

    We have a lot of children's TV programmes that are imported from Japan. Some of the stuff shown was just really strange. One that stood out was a children't sitcom that involved a highschool girl secretly married to one of her teachers at her school. The "comedy" involves them trying their best to hide their relationship from other pupils and staff. As if the hint of underage sex and scandal is not bad enough already. Each program always involves the highschool girl going some silly or childish stuff, and she would receive a firm telling off from her husband at the end. She would then bow her head and apologize profusely to her husband. Just what sort of marriage is that?

      High school girls aren't always underage. There are places right here in the U.S. where the age of consent is as low as 14.

    That's one sick trip alright. If schools showed that kind of crap to my little girl I'd be one serious wench to deal with. And the answer -- that's not marriage, that's slavery. In this context it sounds like a middle aged man's fantasy instead of a kid's show. Indoctrination should not be tolerated.

    The kids look happy and are burning more calories (my goal in life lol) - They sure are cute.

    This reminds me of a book I read years ago by Lobsang Rampa, called 'The Third Eye' in which he describes a ritual done at birth to children in Tibet.

    The newborn infants are held in ice cold water until they turn blue and then are nursed back to health.

    The idea being that it is rough living in the Himalayas and if the child is weak he won't survive - if he does then he will be able to withstand the winters there.

    When joining the monastery as a child they have to sit for 3 weeks in the courtyard while people throw rocks at them - if they react they are expelled.

    None of this seems severe when you read how they put a large sliver of wood into the adult monks forehead between their eyes to permanently open their third eye.

    I have changed a lot in the decades since I read this book and now I am not sure whether this is his fantasy or it really happened (in long-ago Tibet).

    .... either way it does have a point - that is toughening them up -
