it is very simple.. just go to wordpress.com and make an account. and you can start blogging there. your blog address will be yourname.wordpress[.]com

our you can try a different hosting and in that case you will get the site as - yourname[.]com - and for this you can use free hosting. Check bluehosting, godaddy or hostgator.

Many of the "free hosting" companies do not give you PHP and most do not give you a MySQL database - they basically just let you build an HTML site without any server-side scripting or databases...both of which are required by WordPress. If you do decide to go with a free web host, be sure that your free account is both PHP enabled and allows you to create at least one MySQL database.
