What is THE best book on Marketing?

If you knew you were going to lose your memory tomorrow, and forget everything you ever learned about marketing, but you were allowed to suggest one book for your future self to start over. What book would that be?

      One of the best overviews of direct marketing is Drayton Bird's
      "Commonsense Direct and Digital Marketing".

      The book lays out the territory and gives plenty of practical detail
      on how to do direct marketing without getting mired in any
      one area.

        Yeah Drayton Bird's book is a great book I have the 1998 edition, really great insights on direct marketing. I also recommend Ready Fire Aim by Michael Masterson and Changing The Channel too.

        Well, if I lost my memory, I probably wouldn't need any tactic, because I would think "Who tells me I can do that?!", so my choice is:

        "Marketing to the Affluent" by Dan Kennedy

        It's full of examples about how easy it is to sell stuff, the CD on price is awesome and it probably would set the right foundation to start over.

        One thing some people get wrong - that's my opinion - is learning in this order:
        1) Tactics (How to make X bucks using PPV)
        2) Strategy (Is a list actually worth something?)
        3) Vision, Mindset (What is my business about, what is my purpose in it)

        ...while it should be completely the other way around.

          My small binder consists of my personal experiments and my money making systems.

          In that binder (1/2"), I have 5 dividers and here are how they are marked:

          1: Checklists
          2: Notes
          3: Outlines and Templates
          4: Money Making Systems (Detailed information and not checklists)
          5: Resources

          My other binder consists of 2 dividers (It's 2" BTW)

          1. Notes from different products that I buy (WSO, high ticked coachings whatever)

          This is where I take all my notes from different product

          2. My future plans

          I added this section about 5 months ago and this is where I write down all of my future
          projects and here is the reason why I do so. I used to take tons of notes and never take action and I wanted to change that so now when I buy a course or something, I take tons of notes and then those notes don't just go unused because I instantly come up with a plan of action for that course and I place it in the future plans section. Now the next time when I browse through the future plans section and see all of those step by step plans I just choose one and get started with it (unless I am working on something else).
