Note to self:
Never ever get involved in a controversial thread late at night when you are too tired to realize that you just made the mistake of siding with the enemy.

I did that last night in a thread in the main forum...you know the one about backlink packages...

To my embarrasment, I realized today what I had done and deleted my post, but I think the damage had already been done. Now people probably think that I actually condone certain behaviors, and I don't. I really am just a peacemaker at heart and really like to be friends with everybody. How very unrealistic and naive of me! I still like to give people the benefit of doubt. Because I think, perhaps wrongly, that most people are basicly good. Nobody is perfect. But the old saying that goes "you are judged by the company you keep" probably applies in this forum.

I've come to really like a lot of people in this forum. There are people I really respect and admire. There are also people here that I wouldn't deal with at all. But they are only a very few.

Despite how many nice people there are here, there are those who would probably advise me to really start resisting the urge to respond to certain threads because even I've found that sometimes I've gotten in over my head. I'm so much better off just staying the hell away stuff that really doesn't concern me at all.

Hence this note to self: watch what you write, and think before hitting that post button.

hope everyone's having a great Sunday!

Great advice! You are absolutely right. Always important to watch and think before you speak or write in this case. Now I'm going to check it twice before hitting that post button.

I have been tempted to get involved in some controversial threads over time and sometimes get really fired up and start writing a reply. But then I stop, take a deep breath and read what I have written and usually I will hit the back button and go on my way.

Like you I am also a peacemaker at heart and would like to be friends with everyone even though I know that's unrealistic, unfortunately.

If you side with the enemy when you're too tired to think, maybe that means you've been on the wrong side when you're not.

Worth considering. Some things aren't stark black and white.
