I personally like Hong Kong KungFu/Martial Arts movies a lot. Which Kung Fu actors you like the most & which Kung Fu movies you like the most?

Me, personally I like Jet Li the most....

His Compilation:
YouTube- Broadcast Yourself.

One of his recent movie - Fearless:
YouTube- Broadcast Yourself.

What a pity that now he focuses much on his One Foundation (charity foundation) & is no longer active in Movie Industry.

Starting from 2008, another Kung Fu star rises up so fast (though he have started his movie career long time ago), his name is Donnie Yen. The movie IP Man made him so popular...

Here is his movie trailer..

IP Man:
YouTube- Broadcast Yourself.

IP Man 2:
YouTube- Broadcast Yourself.

Shout out your favorite Kung Fu stars & Kung Fu Movies.......

I have not watched very many movies in this genre. But I did
recently see the two-parter, Red Cliff, by John Woo. The guy
    at Blockbuster recommended it.

That was an incredible movie. The way it was made, the shooting,
locations, and the story was good. An epic film that will not
    disappoint. Highly recommended.

HEY, I recently saw an interesting one. It isn't chinese MADE, but 3 of the 4 MAIN players are chinese....Jet Li, Jackie Chan, and Yifei Liu. and most other players are chinese, and it WAS filmed in china, and 1 or 2 of the producing companies were chinese.

Basically, a kung fu obsessed, but unable, teen that is heavily bullied ends up finding a staff and effectively dies and finds himself in another land. Jet Li plays at least 2 parts, and I won't say more there, and acts almost like a bully but later saves the day. Jackie chan plays at least 2 parts, and acts like a beggar and a hapless kung fu fighter but you KNOW it is FUNNY, and HE helps! Yifei Liu helps another chinese player to act a bit catty, and ends up providing a means to a quick end for the villain, who killed her family when she was younger. The teenager, having saved the day, ends up on the ground almost in a daze. The bullies come back to fight him and JUST as they are about to hit the final blow, the teenager realizes all he has learned, and defeats every attempt by the head bully. The rest run away.

BTW it is called the forbidden kingdom. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0865556/locations

I'm not a big martial arts movie person, but Jackie Chan is one of my very favorite actors. Not only is he an amazing athlete, he's probably the best actor of all the big action stars. And I like his relunctant-hero personality.

I'll watch anything with Jackie Chan in it...

He's also been well-known for performing all his own stunts. Plus he's
      an excellent physical comedian.

I remember years ago, maybe in the 90s, and I think he won an Academy
Award - I think. But I remember seeing him on stage to accept his award,
and he had just been filming something. He was all banged-up, and his
face was scratched-up from the filming, etc.

But he seemed genuinely humble about his accomplishments. Nice guy.

On the forbidden kingdom, jackie chan plays, in part, an immortal that stays immortal ONLY as long as he drinks alcohol. SO, in practically the whole film, there is a drunken aspect to all his fighting. He STILL pulls it off! Of course, that adds to the commedy also. But WOULDN'T you know it! He is like the only one that has such an interesting need. The Monkey king couldn't actually be killed, but got his power from a staff.

Still, I like ALL of Jackie chans movies I have seen. It is simply that the one I mentioned here seemed like one you might have expected out of china 30+ years ago. who am i, for example, was fully chinese, but seemed more like an american movie made about how things might look in present day china. BTW, jackie chan DIRECTED that one.

Oh well, like I said, I don't generally make lists like this. I like jackie chan, bruce li, jet li, etc... And I have seen some CRAZY films, some obscure and poorly dubbed, and some very popular in english, and like pretty much all of them.

My choice is "The Karate kid" - the ultimate movie, a concoction of martial art, emotion, chase, everything that makes a movie going. Also I liked The Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - quite poetic that one was.

Recently, the Expendables - Jet Li played his bit well, though not much was there for him to do.
