Girls on my list are hot...

Guys,

I was just going through the responses for a survey in my niche. I wanted to know what my subscribers want so that I can give it to them.

I've gotten about 35 responses. I'm wondering is that enough... Because there are only 3-5 big problems in the niche that require to be addressed.

I will continue to add responses. But is it a green signal for me to go ahead and create an autoresponse funnel and bonuses based on these 3-5 big problems. The same problems are outlined in the product's webpages.

And as far the girls on my list are hot.,, here goes..

Yes the women on my list are hot.

My niche is targetted mainly towards women and they have certain problems...

And I was just reading the responses and survey monkey popped their full name and email. So I googled it and found their facebook names.

I gotta tell you... THEY ARE HOT... There were some chicks who were so hot that I had never seen them in real life. And I'm helping them...

That's kinda awesome. If they knew that the person helping them was not a woman, but an intelligent 17 year old... what would they do?

Regards,
Tyler

PS: Replace hot with beautiful...

I think if any of them see this post - they'd be disgusted at your comments and not interested in your "help".

After I read about half of your post I was thinking in my head this has to be a kid or teenager.

And then you summed that up quite nicely when he said that you're 17.

Does it really matter how hot the people on your list are?

What does that really have to do with marketing?

    Absolutely nothing.

Or does it?? What is his list about? Is it about dating advice?
Doesn't "how you look" very much relate to dating??

So, IF it is about dating, it could be important to know how they look: no point
giving "ugly people chin up" advice to a bunch of real good looking people... huh?

And given that nowadays there are ways to know what your list subscribers look
like, should you do it?? ...ehr... I'm not really sure about that.

It does sound a little stalky and I probably wouldn't do it, but I'm 34 y/o and I guess
that's "old" compared to internet standards and speeds... so maybe I'm just old fashioned...
maybe the fact the profiles are public does mean that people are allowed to see them...
I don't know, even if I try to rationalize it.... it still sounds stalky...ish...kind of...

If, on the other hand, his list is about how to keep a garden green (for example, or anything
else not beauty related), then how his list subscribers look is probably a little less relevant...

But dismissing the importance of "looks" regardless of the marketed product just because
it's...an easy answer, is just lazy imo. Or naive. Also not necessarily the best advice either.

But I still do think that googling customers to see what they look like (if your niche
has nothing to do with looks) is a bit...obsessively curious? I don't know, it's probably
      just a generational gap.

Kudos to tylerdrun for surveying your subscribers/customers though, we can at least learn
that from this ...weird thread ;°) lol

      cheers,
      Saul

PS. and great thread title too - hotness sells! (or so one would think looking at most ads ;°)

I'm sure a lot of them would be flattered but some of them might feel betrayed. Just like I would if I found out that Frank Kern was really a 70 year old grandma.
When it comes to marketing - I don't care if the person is young enough to be my kid or old enough to be my grandmother ....if I can learn something from them.

Seriously, though, in this case we're talking about a niche where revealing a young age and a macho focus could lose sales. I've never understood why anyone wants to recycle an ex in the first place - but this niche is full of emotionally vulnerable people. Discretion in comments would be wise.

Better to have constructive criticism on a marketing forum than step on your tongue with your potential customers:rolleyes:

    Never mix business with pleasure...

Ever seen bill gates say - Oh some of my customers are real hot...

Instead of caring about what they look like...You should rather focus on the business aspect.

PS- Constantly studying pick up material can have two affects on you- It can either make you super wise or it can turn you into a complete girl crazy guy who can't help but drool at the very sight of an attractive woman.

By reading some of your older posts...I can see you have gone too deep into studying pick up. But if you were to notice something...You will see that most of these folks who use pick up theories aren't really good at general aspects of life specially getting their life fixed in terms of money etc.

LOL, Of course the OP is a teenage male. Too much emphasis on how they look.

You do realize they are just people right? And that most of them are probably pretty sick of hearing males talk about them the way you are doing in your OP.

And that if they found out you were a 17 year old male and not a female giving them advice they would drop you quite quickly because of the tendancy of teenage males to react the way you just did to their appearance.

      Just my two cents.

Don't be too quick to jump to conclusions when looking at Facebook profile photos. Some of the girls may not actually be girls after all... probably 45-year old male internet marketers setting up profiles just to target 17-year-old testosterone-powered teenage males like you. :p

Well...Ladies...I say, gives the kid a break...I am looking at what he actually did...he went and asked his list what they wanted , that is pretty smart for a marketeer and if we bring it to the plane of relationships or even just an hormonal urge, well,Taylerdrun I think you are on the right track !

-Find out what they want , give them what they want and make sure you over deliver while you are at it

That will keep you in good stead whether in marketing or relationships.

The point that everyone seems to be missing is that, if you have "hot" people on your list, you probably need to head on over to Amazon.com and create some affiliate links for air conditioners to promote to your list. Know your customers! That's the lesson here.

      I think.

You've gotten some good advice here. Keep it professional, keep your mind and writing on business. And, oh, yeah, it would most likely not be a good idea to let the target market you've mentioned know that you are a 17 year old male.

Mixing business with pleasure works only in rare circumstances. If, for example, you're Hugh Hefner. But even Hefner isn't Hefner anymore.

    This thread makes me laugh.

Silly first post to begin with, but c'mon he's just 17 and it's not like he's cyber stalking, he just searched for their publicly searchable profiles on Facebook. That's about it.

Still, what's the point? That' they're hot? Ok, great. It's kind of funny, I guess, that you're helping them. Perhaps someday when you're making a lot of money you can find some hot girls in REAL life that will dig your confidence. Until then, I'd say don't post stuff like this again as you will get the predictable responses of you're creepy and I'd report you to BBB, yada yada yada nonsense responses.

C'mon, people, ease up a little. Not like he's adding them on Facebook and cyber stalking, or anything. Or...is he?

He he, let's just all take a chill pill.

For statistics, anything over 30 is usually considered a normal sample size in a random sample, but your sample is not random. Your sample group is composed of list members who are willing to answer surveys. Since this is the market you are attempting to tap, I think you are probably safe to use the 30 sampling as being reasonably representative.

    Two lessons here.

First, if you are going to do market research on your customers don't describe them as 'hot' unless that is a required parameter of your research.

Second, if you are going to do market research on your customers and you think they're 'hot' don't share that information publicly.

Don't worry about it, this crew at WF will ride you a bit today and forget it by tomorrow.

Yeah, me too. I just thought it would be funny to picture if Kern was really a 70 year old grandma. But if he was I could really care less. Although I might feel a little weird that he was pretending to be something that he wasn't.

Everyone always says that you have to develop trust with your list but can you really do that if you are taking on a different persona that's not really you? I know a lot of people use pen names and try to match the target audience to be more effective so I guess you can. I'm sure if I tried to do that I would probably screw up somehow and reveal who I really was!

One of the funniest reader comments I've had was from a guy responding to content on a site where I use a male pen name.

He had a couple questions about the topic and commented that it was good to find a real man to answer such questions because he thought men understood the subject better than women. No, not viagra - it's a site in an economic niche.

I answered the questions and signed my "real man" name.
