Just got an email from a customer needing help. Responded and got an email
in return....

"Over quota...could not deliver."

People...PLEASE clean out your email boxes.

Otherwise how can you expect merchants and/or customers to reach you?

    Steven,

That actually happened to me a few times. A few people emailed me with help requests and when I emailed them back, it said something like:

    This email is full

    Or

    This email is un-reachable.

Some people never delete any emails and when you try to email them, they don't get it.

And then, they e-mail you back - getting madder each time because you don't answer.

I've had a few of these. Fortunately, a quick WhoIs search produced their phone numbers and I called them. Always fun to hear the reaction of somebody in some small town in Texas who suddenly gets a call from Japan.

Did it...just a PO Box. No phone.

Try Whitepages.com if you have the person's name and city.

I have never heard of this happening... if someone is expecting an email and they have 999+ emails ~ they are obviously very disorganized or they are trying to get onto that tv show "HOARDERS."

Anyways.... why don't you take this time to give the Poor Warrior Forum members some advice....

    Hi Steven,

The funny thing is that if that same person happens upon this thread, it will never dawn on them that they could be the culprit.

Other than that, it makes me wonder what kind of email they have. I know the main accounts I use can hold 1,000s and 1,000s of messages. Don't ask me how I know.

Oh no! What if it's me?

    j/k

    All the best,
    Michael

I finally got through to him through another email address that he ALSO
      emailed me from.

Maybe he realized that the other email was all filled up.

Excellent! It's nice when things have a positivr resolution.

Your original point is still a good reminder, though.

GTD (Getting Things Done) has a great system for keeping your inbox empty.

After all, it's an inbox, not a filing cabinet.

It's based on creating folders (within your email account) and a simple process for touching each email only once and then sticking it in the appropriate place.

I've been using it for years now and it works really well.

Well, you know EMAIL is FAR from reliable, and can be SLOW! HECK, at my current project, some email has taken over 4 HOURS to reach me, and that is WITHIN the company! I have seen places where it could take DAYS! I was at a couple places infested with that old M/S SQL worm, and some email was delayed about 2 WEEKS!

As for IM, on the internet, I have received some promotions hours or days AFTER the fact.

THIS is one reason why it is nice to have at least 2 email addresses on DIFFERENT networks!

    1. People have an alternate address to use.
    2. You can test the email YOURSELF!
