To all of you who earn 100% of you income online, how much thought do you put into where on the planet you want to live?

When I got started I was living in the mountain in a Northern region. Winter was coming, I started to make money online, so my wife and I along with our toddler and two dogs hopped onto a plane and moved to Central America for a year.

After a year there we started to think of where good schools might be, but we still liked the tropics, so we moved to South Florida for 6 months.

Florida wasn't for us, so we've decided to spend a year in the Vancouver area and put our son in Kindergarten in Canada.

After all of that, we are thinking that we might just move back to Central or South America and send our son to a private school and get a tutor for him. We like the slower pace of life, and it is nice to be able to have affordable household help.

I don't want advice, I am just interested to know where other people have decided to call home after they started to work online and why they chose those places.

Well, now that all of my income is made from home, my husband and I want to move back to Oregon. We have been living in Arizona for 6 years and the heat is getting to us. I do remember it being hot in Oregon, but this lasted 2 weeks max and then it was just warm all summer long. The heat in the Valley here in AZ lingers for months and months. July and August are the worst, but it can start getting hot as early has April. The heat can continue into Septmember. Some years are worse than others though. Last year was brutal. (We had several 120 and 118 degree days). Stay away from the Valley if you ever move to Arizona. Now the winters are awesome, but it's not really a real "winter season". The winters here are like spring elsewhere. Jason and I decided that we would rather put up with more rain in the winter than deal with such a long brutal summer. Everyone says you won't get depressed living in Az because of the sun, but actually both my husband and I became very depressed here. The sun doesn't gurantee anything.

At the moment I live in Montreal, Canada...born and bred. Since I make 100% of my income online I've decided to move to the Turks and Caicos Islands.

My best friend of 35 years moved there last year to become a chef at one of the restaurants and I've visited 3 times and love the relaxed atmosphere and friendliness of the place. The beaches are pristine, perfect and more than a few of them made me gasp with delight.

I'll be moving by the end of October and am so grateful I won't have to go through a Canadian Winter this year!

      Maureen
