    Very interesting.

Perhaps you've haven't partaken of the awesome phenomenon of Jazz Fusion...

Artists like... Herbie Hancock, George Duke, George Benson, Ronnie Laws, The Crusaders, Donald Byrd, Grover Washington Jr. and many others were not making any money doing so-called traditional jazz in the 1970's...

Rock, Disco, Funk and Pop were eating their lunch...

... so they decided to make their rhythms easier to understand and found themselves a whole new audience and started making money.

They are known today because the made the switch.

Lots of people don't know that...

Kool & The Gang began their careers as Jazz Musicians and went way past Jazz Fusion into Disco, Funk & Pop.

Here's my favorite Jazz Fusion cut of allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll Time...

Few things are truly new. Often it's best to go back to the source.
This Ruth Etting hit became a jazz standard performed by virtually
every female jazz singer. Recorded 1928.
