heheh, well it seemed to go with the one you posted, Kim.

Memories are always old, Yo, or they wouldn't be memories, right?

(be glad we are not too old to remember yet!)

    Here is another one.

Listening to a Nirvana CD right now but I will listen as soon as it is over.

I was kind of down with the TV always on not really watching when your post reminded me how music always cheers me up.

Hilarious typing to Nirvana while I am working. It is the same as they say do not drive while listening to hard rock because it will make you speed. (it is true for me). hehehe but typing is best when done with speed...

Not that it's worth much, but the two bands I've seen the most in concert are Little Feat and the Band.
First time I saw Feat was in the mid 70's on the Waiting for Columbus tour.
First time I saw the Band was at Watkins Glenn.
First time I saw them together was at SPAC around 98.
Anyways here's Feat doing a Band song.

I think it is more a case of the alcohol not being kind to her.

Yes, Kim, you know there was always a great Hippy goal to be natural and anything else was seen as 'plastic' or shallow.

While in many things I still believe that, when it comes to taking care of yourself to look good, (and hide your age) I would rather be a little plastic and I admit although I don't wear a lot of makeup I do everything I can to take care of my skin, hair, etc so I don't look old.

Guess vanity/plastic is in the genes, my mother just turned 87 and she still dyes her hair and does the Weight Watcher routine -- and nobody would guess how old she is. One of the few things I will do that she says do.

I bet with a little plastic old Gracie wouldn't look so bad (and especially if she would lose a lot of weight).

I remember the first time I saw her in person before Jefferson anything was at a small club in North Beach, San Francisco called 'Mothers' where she was fronting the band 'The Great Society' - the club was almost empty - who knew she would go so far!

    Rock on Grace.

Ok,ok, something has not been kind to her.
I don't rememebr what I was watching ,but it was probably some PBS music special and after a few minutes of this person talking they put the name under her and it said Grace Slick and I was blown away. She was way too heavy as Patrican already noted, and yes, she was priobably drink savaged too (along with all the other substances). But when the evening comes, the bottom line was she could belt out a song or so.
