Calling all mechanics (past/present/future)! I had to put new axle in an Expedition. Prior to getting re-assembled the other side was turned and the spider gears fell out of the carrier. Does any one know how to get them back in? Is there a special compression tool for the axle gears/clutch plates? Am I stuck taking it to a machine shop and paying them the labor I saved by changing the axle myself?
