Getting Threatened By Another Member

I am not sure where to put this, but who can go to immediately about being threatened by another member of the forum?

      Well, my business partner (who is also a member of this forum) and I decided to go our separate ways. Now he is threatening to ruin my reputation on the forum... among other things.

      I have worked much too hard getting a positive reputation here with a solid base of customers. I am not sure if there is anything I can do to stop this from happening. This is how I make my living exclusively.

      I am sure it's against the TOS to threaten another member, but I cannot seem to find someone to report it to.

    What advantage would it be for your business partner to attack your reputation? If it is malicious intent, it might be wise to consult with a lawyer about it. You can also contact warrior forum Help Desk:

      I will most likely need to speak to a lawyer on Tuesday. Since he threatened to start destroying my reputation tomorrow, I figured I would need to do something immediately as well. I have already put in a ticket... so I guess I am doing everything right so far.

      Well, I am a copywriter here. I personally write everything I do... do not hire outside help. He is planning to do the same thing, except to outsource the work. Therefore, as he told me, I am now "competition".

      To quote specifics from the conversation...

      "NAME WITHHELD: I will destroy your WF account as you will be competition
      NAME WITHHELD: Do you understand?"

      From another part of the conversation...

      "NAME WITHHELD: tomorrow maybe once I start getting your WF account destroyed"

      I suppose time will tell if I get my reputation ruined and end up losing my income. Thank you for your guidance Thunderbird.

        PM me the details privately. If they start saying anything about you that isn't backed with provable facts - as in, things I can verify for myself independently - they'll find themselves with access challenges.

        Be aware that I have seen this same sort of statement made when someone was doing something wrong and was threatened with exposure, too, so I'm making no assumptions about anything at this point.

          By the way... I strongly suggest that you diversify your client sources. It is never wise to rely on just one place, especially one you don't own, for your income. There are too many things that can go wrong, and the results too severe if they do, to take that risk.
