Funny you should say that because I was at a party with CEO's, some
politicians, and various diplomats and heads of state; and they all sounded
surprisingly well-educated.

Well most Conmen pretty much HAVE to sound educated! Ever see "Catch me if you can", the movie? I don't believe it was covered in the book this way, but the movie must have been pretty true to life, especially in ways it was demeaning to "Frank Abagnale, Jr.". Frank actually played a bit part in the movie! He was too old to play himself, but he played one of the french guards.

Anyway, he DID go to a bar to learn the lingo of pilots. Probably a good idea and in the book and movie. For the doctor, he watched a movie, and I don't think that was in the book. The next day he was asked to make a SIMPLE decision and he asked for advice and overused the term "concur"(because it was what he saw in the movie) SO much it was downright funny. This is COMMON for conmen. Frank didn't even know a few words, didn't really understand what others meant, etc... and he STILL pulled it off.
