I just realized none of my sites will load up...and I can't login to my cpanel.

And...the real clincher...

I called the 24/7 support line...and guess what BUSY SIGNAL!

Must be happening everywhere.

Not good...

Is it just me?

EDIT ** finally got through...I guess there's some 'emergency' across the street from the building and the fire department requested that they shut down all of their backup servers as well as 50% of all servers currently hosting sites...

something about electricity control.

check the, internet marketing product reviews link in my sig...it won't work!

That's happening to probably millions of sites right now.

They say it could be anywhere from only a few hours..to a day

EDIT *** one day later...sites are back up and running.

Now let's change this discussion to...how to prepare for this?

That's a bummer. It happens with all web hosts at some point.
The only way to prevent having all your sites down at once is to spread them out over a few providers.

I was just wondering that myself, where the hec is my squeeze page BLUEHOST?
I may start transferring more over to my new SEOHOST account scoundrels!

I had just uploaded a new video squeeze page, saw it a couple times, then...I thought oh no, I crashed the server.

Thanks for validating that there's a problem. :-(

I don't have anything to offer, but have a great day anyway!

All of my sites are down as well.

I just talked to BlueHost. They said they shut down all of their west coast servers. They were told to keep them off until midnight (MST) which should be for about 2 more hours.

After that, he said that all servers should be up.

    I hope that's true.

Your product review link worked for me. Guess they fixed it. I wouldn't panic over inevitable host glitches along the way. They usually get sorted out.

    Funny question.....

WHY did you keep checking for teachers, calling the school, etc.... when you KNOW funding has been cut, and the ENTIRE SCHOOL is burned down!?!?!?

I mean REALLY, do you expect cpanel, or ANY of your links to work if the whole server appears to be down?

HEY, this happens! A room can get too hot, a plug can be pulled, a TRUNK can go down. All of those affect ALL servers downline, and EACH shared server could have thousands of customers and they may each have several websites, so you can BET they would be inundated!

I thought that last line clarified the whole thing.
