Are electronic typewriters back in fashion?
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw one priced at £180 (approx $ 280) on a newspaper flyer!
I thought that nowadays they would sell them for a fiver...

No kidding. Especially when you can find suitable desktops for around that same price if you know where to look.
I believe the market for electric typewriters is the crowd that fears the risk to privacy by being online. (I know, there's a gap there--on a computer doesn't necessarily mean online. But these folks may, in their fear, confuse that point.)
The reason for the price being so high is simple: There's hardly any market for them!
