Is responsible for getting the "Obama Won" thread nuked?

I logged on today hoping to find that Thom eagerly accepted my order to stop eating pork and to eat turkey bacon, but the thread was nuked.

Shame on you!!!

I'm probably as much to blame as anyone else I guess.
I sorry AG but turkey bacon sounds so wrong.

Turkey Bacon IS wrong. I tried it when they told me I couldn't eat regu;ar bacon anymore. That was the first and last time.
Luckily that have modified what they told me and I can eat low sodium bacon.
(PS:I also tried vegetable/soy preotein "bacon". Even the animals wouldn't eat it.)

I don't like all those additives they put in bacon. The only time the pig squeals on my table is when we take the first bite.

You all should know that pork isn't good for you, shame on all you except Pat. Turkey bacon is 97 or 98% fat free too! If not turkey bacon, then veggie bacon or no bacon! You don't want to be clogging up your arteries now.

Did that other thread get even more ugly than it was? Glad I missed it then.

Heck - eat what ya want. AG - the answer to clogged arteries is aerobic exercise. Pump it through. As polluted as we've gotten everything and as much toxin as we still use spraying our foods (now it's Fluoride pesticides!)
all you can really do is exercise like a maniac and keep that crap pumping through and out.

I'm with Sal on that - when I want turkey I eat turkey. When I want a BLT, I want bacon!

Turkey bacon just seems wrong on so many levels....and it's rough on turkeys, too.

99.9% the way threads get nuked is people use the report button or complain about people fighting. Never seen one come back before?!?!

I am sorry it is back too - but maybe people will freaking calm down and have a discussion.

Vegetarian bacon is the only bacon for me. Turkey bacon is fowl. (pun) naaaaaah! (but it is okay with me if you like it, I am glad hug hug)

you are what you eat. i am no swine. i guess i am a vegetable, you turkey. JUST KIDDING. HUG HUG

Well it's not the first time I've been called a pig!
If we are what we it, I'm in trouble because there is so little I can eat nowadays. Would you like a short list of what I am not suppose to have?
milk (of any variation), soy milk, orange jiuce, bananas, cantalope, apricots, mangos, nectarines ,peaches, raisins, beans(same as milk, not suppose to have any variations),cumcumbers, mushrooms, okra, peanuts, peas ,potatos, tomatoes.
That's a short list of foods with potassium that I'm not suppose to eat.
I'm also not suppose to eat foods with phosphorus in them.
    That's a list for another time though,eh?
Dark colas are not allowed either, though I can have giner ale and root beer!
The bottom line in my opinion is all of you eat what what makes you happy, you never know when you may not be able to!

I'm sorry, Kim - that must be so hard for you. How about what you CAN eat? I am sure the list is much shorter!:p

There are lots of things I can't eat and then the ones I shouldn't and ones I wouldn't. LOL.

Man, it looks like you can't even eat the good stuff I should.

      You Poor man.

Yes, it seems everything they tell you is good for you and will keep you healthy is on my no-no list. It's quite a task making meals.

Do they list **** berry? That is a magic food. I have an organic blend that also contains blueberry and pomegrante juice - it says 40mg) potassium (1%) though.

Check out http://www.thetotalhealthshop.com/Or...FRg6awodChuQOQ for all that **** does but of course check with your doctor before you try it.

The other magic juice is Goji from Tibet. You can read about that there too.

I hope you get a new kidney soon. I will tell you, you have scared me (you are a blessing). I used to drink very little water except in coffee. My kidneys probably look like raisins. Now I am going through gallons of spring water.

There really is little information I can find on potassium content of various things, especially something like ****. I have heard of it but have not had the chance to try it.I'm going to check it out, pomegranite is ok and I do drink it at times, Goji I have never heard of, I will have to look into that.
As far as a new kidney, I have to wait at least two years of being "certified cancer free". I am having my operation next friday and the Drs. say that can certify me cancer free right after the operation.
To be honest that is the only reason I agreed to surgery rather than any of my other choices.
I had 52 years out of 54 of being healthy,so I can't complain too much I guess, and the experience has given me a new outlook on life.
I also hope that others can benefit from what I am going through and what I have learned.
One thing I stress to everyone is get a second opinion!

Hope the surgery goes well Kim!

I notice most berries come under the 'low potassium' group Potassium Content of Foods - HealthLibrary so if **** and goji are similar you might be in luck.

You might want to check out this site (folk remedies) to see if they offer anything useful to help with kidney problems. I know cranberry juice stops bacteria sticking to the kidney and bladder walls (it has a horrid taste though!) but that's about it. www.earthclinic.com

Yes I agree, second opinion, Kim.

Not just that but both holistic and auyervedic medicine have been used for hundreds of years and offer many natural ways to prevent and even cure things that doctors won't tell you/don't know. They actually receive very little training in nutrition in medical school and the vast majority of problems are either caused by a deficit of or allergy to nutritional elements.

However I do caution people from not seeing what the doctor says FIRST, because there is a point where things change and we don't want to miss the window, or be using a method that may not be effective - every case is different of course.

There are certified doctors of holistic medicine and I have been reading a lot of things where some medical doctors are finally acknowledging nutritional and holistic methods.

Yeh - health is one of the major blessings. Even with a million dollars in your pocket, if you do not have your health, life is difficult.

One of our clients was telling me how he made so much money in his career, took the money and invested it in real estate and has just lost everything including their home, etc.

He is worried about his wife living in an apartment. I was like, dude, she has had a happy marriage for 48 years and you both have your health. All that stuff you lost is really just stuff - none of which would matter at all if you weren't healthy.

He was down with that but for some reason doesn't think his wife is. I think he would probably be surprised to find out she understands the value in what she DOES have, unless she is predatory.

I do agree that the thread should be Nuked though. It's changed subjects so many times from the OP that it makes some members look....well, I'll just leave it at that!

I sincerely thank you for the thought, but I have to to tell you, I tried to try one of his products. It was his "Superfood",and it was totally inedible/unusable, whatever term you want to use.
It smelled like straw, looked and tasted like horsefeed. I honestly couldn't pay people to try it.
I can't comment on his other products, but based on that one I would say save your money.
