A few minutes of "happy" does wonders!
A call from #1 son totally changed my outlook. He was excited because they have front row center seats for a Gallagher show tonight and will be visiting with Gallagher for an hour before the show. Scott grew up watching Gallagher specials and he's stoked about it.
He told me my Grandson was made Captain of his hockey team last night so the kid is over the top. Mid-term grades just came in and Curran is still an all-A student. In other words, life is going well his bright and sunny attitude was just what I needed.
He updated me on other family members and told a couple funny stories - and when I hung up, the blahs were totally gone. I was energized, optimistic and ready to get back to work.
If you feel you are in a rut or down for no reason - call the most positive person you know and just chat. Definitely cures the blahs.
