Does anyone know a good mentor?
I am a newbie - I mean, I have been purchasing IM courses since December/2009. I can't get anywhere, I have two websites up, hosting account, aweber account but so far not even $100 for almost a year.
I think this could be changed with a mentor.
If anyone ever had a good mentor, someone who helped you to get started please let me know...
Your time is very much appreciated!

There is a difference between a mentor and a paid coach. A mentor is somebody that takes an interest in you, usually because he or she cares about you. Asking for people to recommend a mentor is like asking people to recommend a friend.

There are plenty of paid coaching services that you can find on the Warrior Forum or by Googling. Just know that there is a difference. A paid coach only cares because you are paying him to do so.

Good networking is the only way for you to build a relationship that could blossom into a true mentorship.

      Thanks for clearing that up!
I guess I need a paid coach since I do not know anyone (close to me) successful with IM.
      Do you recommend anyone?

Um not really. It is something you would need to look into.

If you are paying a coach, they need to fit your personal needs. You should also look them up thoroughly to make sure no one is just taking your money.

Everyone can be anyone on the internet.

There are good coaches and mentors out there willing to help you develop a good game plan from start to finish but be prepared to put in the effort. You still have to get into the trenches and take action.

I have only two sites. The first one is really bad as it is my first test - supposed to be a review site, but the content is really bad. I mean I was just applying whatever I learned.
The second one I bought a ready niche site.
I use only twitter and facebook to drive traffic. The first one my average traffic is 4000/monthly. The other one (ready niche only 100).

I need someone to help me to get my feet wet!

Sounds like your feet are already wet.

So, let me get this straight. You have a site that is getting 4000 hits a month and you are unable to build a list from that traffic? You said you have aweber, so the list building things should be all set up on there.

If you truly are seeing this kind of traffic, then you simply need to figure out what you need to do to start that listbuilding.

Once you get that traffic on a list, you can then direct them on where to go and what you'd like them to do.

Have you tried writing your business plan?

A good business plan will help you decipher what information is pertinent to your business - thus removing any overload.

That is a very good step. You must discover yourself first. Identify your strengths and leverage them. Use your strengths to offer a product or a service to a market that is in need of what you can offer.

I wouldn't run to a coach/mentor right away until you can figure that stuff out first. I remember at one time I posted a question like this and was shocked at some of the PM's I received. Some people will be genuinely interested in helping, others will just want your money, choose wisely.

Something that helped me to actually start seeing results was that I stopped buying every new course that comes out each month.

I picked one and focused on it. Since then things have really started to change for me.

Stick with it and good luck!

Well it sounds like you have all the tools. 4000 monthly vistors is really good. On your site you have a freebie for their email address? Once you have this, have your autoresponder set up for something? A clickbank product, CJ, or more information to build trust and loyalty. Good luck dude!

Maybe instead of a coach or mentor you just need to find someone that is new also that has the same or similar goals and you work together and brain storm together. Then from there you can move on.

You must be doing something right with 4k in hits to your site, now to either get sales and or a list. Your site may just need a facelift to get more sales.

I have been in this business for going on 5 years and I can tell you if I would allow it, it could still be overwhelming.

There are many people here on the forum that are very trusted and respected, that you can learn from, although I do know 3 personally that took me from zero to where I am today. If you want some suggestions, feel free to contact me and I will try to help you in the right direction.

I have all that - free gift, aweber form etc... But the content is not good, I'm willing to start all over again with a new website (and good content). That one, even though I have 4000 visitors I was just using testing all different kind of stuff - banner posting, affiliate links, aweber form, adsense, e-book page etc.
Maybe I should do what Jeff B said and stop buying every new course! lol

Ya know, you can be your own coach too... and it won't cost you anything but your own time. How? Do some research here and elsewhere. Come up with a game plan. Put that plan in writing and go back to it every time you stray.

If it doesn't work out the way you had hoped, find out what went wrong, fix it, and try again.

      Try Bob The Teacher.

I just started working with him and I am learning much faster right now then when I was doing it on my own.

He is helping me to understand the big picture and all the small details at the same time.

I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is serious about building a business and not just chasing after money.

Another awesome website I go to all the time to expand my affiliate marketing knowledge is: Affiliate Marketing Training Portal | Affilorama

I have found the "expert interviews" section especially helpful. Interviews With the World's Most Successful Internet Marketers | Affilorama
