The Power of Networking

When I think about it, everyone I know and every project I've been involved in has been a result of networking. Even now, when I'm often home helping take care of the baby, opportunities arising out of previous networking activities come my way. Interesting opportunities that are both creative and make money without actually seeming like work.

What can networking do? It can lead to internet marketing gigs. It can enable you make a movie. It can open all sorts of doors.

How does one network? Now it is easier than ever, with internet. That said, I've also done it in person much more than online. There are all sorts of networking groups where you meet people in person, such as community center clubs and activities. Networking online can be done, say, here. Or on Craigslist. I know a woman who organized a club via Craigslist.

Why am I writing this? I am procrastinating, so why not pontificate here.

    I was made a lot of money via networking with some friends. The power of networking should never be underrated.

    An adage says that one can only chase a thousand but two can chase up to 10,000.
  • Networking is a big thing. It has taken me awhile to realize how vital it is. I am a shy person, but when I break out of my shell I can be very outgoing.

    • I guess I come across as friendly and outgoing much of the time, but inside I am sort of like a coarse and shy pitbull at a fancy chihuahua and poodle party, scared of accidentally causing harm.
