our body: a perfect machine

For those of you that are so lucky to have a body working perfectly, maybe even a fit body, I want you to take a moment and think, how well designed machine your body is.

Every part of it interacts with the other parts beautifully to create a great end result.

If you catch a flu, you may think the world has come to an end (especially men), but it hasn't (in most cases)! You will be up and running again in a few days, and the flu will be a distant memory.

But for some people, the "up and running" will never come again, because their life depends on a machine and, even if they are away from that machine, they cannot do things like everybody else...

If you scroll down this page (http://majskidney.com/) and go to September 05 (the Story Part 9) you will see what I mean...

Of course we humans cannot replace God with our inventions, but we can do quite well...

Good article. I do believe in it. The article just make me think of my parents. My parents are farmers. They did a lot of toilsome farm work when they were young and never went to see doctors even they got ill. Now, they are old and the machine is getting wear down. My mother gets ill and need to take pills everyday. We really should protect these machine when we are young.

With the surge of technology, people are leading a more sedentary lifestyle, which is really dangerous. As we age, we start feeling the creaks here and there (as I am now) and it is terrifying...I used to be very active...but not so much now. Next thing I did was buy a weighted hula hoop...at least I don't feel that guilty anymore.

I am not free of "creaks" myself...
If I strain my back (even if only slightly) or I don't cover myself well enough when the first colds start, I get some sciatic kind of pain on my left leg+backache in the lower part of my back.
It is kind of scary for somebody which used to be as healthy as a horse, but it all come with age, they say (OMG, I am already 45!!!).
Anyway I read an old post in this same forum which made me think that the way to go is...the "inversion table".
I will discuss it with the doctor and If there are no objections, I am tempted to buy one...

God is the creator of everything. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. We are really perfect because God created us in his own image.

Yes! human body is the most Perfect Machine in Universe.
Your own body is the best guide. It will tell you when to stop and when to push it further. Just listen to your own body. You may not even invest in fancy gadgets. Play with your own body resistance and gravity. These are probably the best tools!
