    Yes Aussie bank shares all took a dive today and the state government came out with a mini budget that tends to maximise the tax that they are getting! But, usually it is the bleak times in history that more people become long term successful. Here's hoping

    According to Mayan Calendar we have just entered a new phase, the 6th day of Galactic cycle, which means things are supposed to get a little better between 13th November 2008 until 7th November 2009 when it will slip back into night.

      If you go by the Chinese calendar, this is the year 4706. They passed 2012 over two and a half millenia ago with no problems except for the odd dynastic overthrow or two. We are now just ending the Chinese year of the rat. Chinese calendar say rats shit on the economy every twelve years, so just get over it. Next year is the year of the cow, and those who see opportunity now will milk it for all it's worth.

      Confucius or somebody say that long time ago. I tend to believe the Chinese more than the Maya only because the Chinese are survivors - they never give up. The Maya just didn't have it them to hang in there for more than a few hundred years.

        That is great! Yep, we have two rats to thank for the mess the US is in, and like with any opportunity, we should milk it for all it's worth.

    We're all doomed, well that depends on your 'model of the world' and how you are positioned. The media only reports doom and gloom cos that's what sells. The thing is that there is always opportunity but most people don't see it. There will be people who in the next couple of years make fortunes. People who are positioned to buy real estate or stock options over the next year or two are good examples. Also Online shopping, a study yesterday in the UK reported that Online operators were reporting record sales as opposed to High Street shops who were complaining of slow trading. One area that may well buck the trend is Internet marketing. Many companies are reporting there best Months ever.
