Finally fallen victim to Ebay shenanigans.

So ive heard all the horror stories about people being screwed as sellers on ebay. But didnt figure id ever have a problem (only sell low end merchandise for the most part) And im very carefull with pictures and descriptions.

So imagine my surprise, when i see my paypal balance in the negative and a memo from ebay saying i had to resolve a case. My first thought was "What case? no one has even messaged me" One of my buyers sent in a claim to ebay saying the item was damaged, and that despite sending me messages he couldnt get it resolved.

The problem here is that i NEVER recieved a message from this individual. I checked my inbox, i searched my emails. Nothing. Im so furious right now its ridiculous.

I dont care if someone has some kind of problem, things happen. Sometimes items get jacked up in the mail, no big deal we can work it out. But to go direct to Ebay and outright LIE just stinks of dishonesty.. Ive dug through this guys past feedback left for others, and its rife with disputes just like this. And he gets away with it. Disgusting.

Anyway, i wrote this partly to vent. And to ask if anyone else here has had similar problems in the past?

    I hate ebay.

They consistently change the rules, with the focus being on how best to screw their affiliates and sellers. With ebay remember always... You are guilty until proven innocent, and then you're still guilty.

I refuse to associate with them.

If i didnt need the money i probably wouldnt have either. And now that this has happened i will be closeing out any future dealings with them.

Until then ill fight this as best i can, but in the end i probably will lose. As you said guilty until proven otherwise. Though ill probably lose by default, im leaving Sunday to resolve some family issues and will be away from my PC for a week.. might get a chance to pop on and check on it. But ill have enough on my plate without worrying over some scamtard on ebay.

      FML lol.

I prefer to sell my items on Tripleclicks rather than ebay these days. Mainly due to no listing fees, and only paying commissions when my products sell.
