My New Experiment - I'm not gonna go to sleep everyday until I make $30 - Do you think I'm crazy?

This is my new experiment. I have come to understand that if I want to make money online I have to take drastic mesaures.
Everyday I'm not gonna go to sleep until I made $30. If It's gonna take three daus I'm not gonna sleep that much no matter what. I'm gonna drink coffee, I'm gonna stay on my head but I'm not gonna sleep every dau until I make $30 for the day!

So I have three question for you warriors:

Do you have any advice for me to help me go trough this?

Have you been in the same place as me?

Do you think I'm nuts?

Stay with me through this hard times!

Yes I think that is crazy - if you run yourself down you won't be able to think straight and stay focused on your work. If you want to work well and stay focused you need some sleep!

I'd be concerned that one day you'd release a product that cost more than $30, and every time you made a sale you'd fall asleep.

Seriously, the big question I have is... let's say you make no money for 24 hours. Do you now need to make $60 before you can sleep?

    Magic,

You may want to reconsider your idea as I can see it leading to a downward spiral real quick.

Making money requires peak performance, and peak performance requires both sleep and proper alimentation - without them, the brain will not function properly.

Trust me, I've been in situations in the past where one or the other were lacking, and my productivity never sank as low as it did then.

You should deffinitely re-consider your objective. Skip TV time, put off going out for coffee or for a beer with friends until you've reached a certain goal, but you should never cut into something as vital and essential as food and/or sleep.

    Alex.

First of all, this is all a bad idea unless you're already consistently making over $30 per day. You need your energy to be productive - killing your energy is going to kill your ability to make the money. You're creating a vicious cycle here.

      Alex.
I don't completely agree with this either. Our bodies need a break - yes, even from an important objective in your life. If you push yourself too hard you're going to start breaking and everything you do will become sub-par. Sure, if you're going out with friends every night, cut it back to one or two nights, but don't get rid of your breaks altogether.

As Tony Schwartz would put it, the key is to manage your energy not your time and you're definitely managing your energy improperly if you follow through with this.

may as well have fun with it and cap the amount of sleep allowed, I usually max out at 3 hours a night, hence my lack of productivity.

I think after 3 days no sleep and monster caffeine overdose you'll go bonkers. Personally I'd take a vice you may like, beer, women etc....

....No beer, women (whatever you like) until you make the $30. Dam good insentive and better than sleep deprivation.

Actually on second thoughts maybe sleep induced madness is better?

I like your burning will, my friend.

And yes, you are definitely crazy, but that's the only way to success! (maybe not, but its a catalyst for sure)

    All the best!

Making $30 is easy, but making it residual isn't. Write articles for people. If you don't have the capital to post on the Warriors for Hire forum, put a little ad in your signature.

NOTE : Its the only way.

You will drive yourself crazy if you adhere rigidly to this rule of yours. Deprive yourself of sleep for a few days (which will inevitably happen when at some point you don't make $30 for several days on end), and you'll end up going insane. You won't be able to concentrate on anything, much less make money.

I'd much rather you cut out everything else that is unnecessary, like tv, socializing, movies, talking on the phone, etc. and make sure you sleep at least 6-8 hours a day!

If $30 is the issue... sit down, find someone on here or at a freelance site that needs articles, charge them $6 per 500 word article (more or less $ based on your writing quality), and crank 5 of those out. Shouldn't take more than a few hours, at most.

Then, for the love of all that is holy, get some sleep. $30 isn't worth the loss of sanity.

    My thoughts...knock yourself out man.

However, if you would take 30 minutes per day and read the post of experienced warriors (and apply what you read) you would find a method to make much more than $30 per day and be able to sleep too.

You maybe should be thinking about what you are doing to get the $30 a day. if you're tactics are poor then you might never manage to earn one dollar a day never mind 30.

Do what someone has already suggested - spend some time reading on this forum and follow a well-tried and trusted way to earn a small amount a day then build on that. Having some crazy self-imposed punishment won't magically help you to earn anything.

I think you need to put in place a means
which will earn you that amount per day

Maybe you do proper keyword research, build
10-12 Amazon sites and hire a link builder
to build links and also do link wheel for you at
    the rate of $550 p/m.

The first 1 month is alone after which the said
amount will flow ceasely into your account through
amazon sales commission and also google adsense
you can add cpa or clickbank as well

    Hope that helps

I just have to say this because it's funny...

I think he fell asleep! Seriously right after he posted the thread he jolted to the bed and said "Muhahaha... the warrior forum members are going to be so confused!"

Seriously bro, just incase you are awake. Go to sleep. That's all I have to say. Get some rest, start anew and build your way to prosperity, it's not going to happen overnight. Wealth takes time and if you don't sleep, it'll probably end up taking even longer because you won't be able to do anything. You'll be keying away as you write articles for people and slip up and mention something totally unrelated xD (I've done it).

So in conclusion, go to sleep. Wake up. Try harder whilst your awake. Go to sleep again. Repeat

Love to hear more thoughts on this.

What I basically learned by now is that I should choose not to watch movies, go out with friends...over not sleeping. Or listening to the same song over and over until I make $30 which would be a really bad punishment for me!

Exactly! I posted earlier up in this thread that if you are really intent on sacrificing something in your quest to make $30 a day, let it not be your health (i.e. foregoing sleep) but instead get rid of the distractions like movies, entertainment, partying, socializing, etc. This has the wonderful side effect of leaving you with nothing else to do but focus on your IM moneymaking efforts!

Change the conditions around a little bit.
Example listen to "Barney's I love you" song until you do make make $30 for the day. you have to listen to it until you do make the $30. At least you get your sleep (which you MUST have).

If for some strange reason you DO like big purple pedophile dinosaurs than listen to Bed Intruder Remix.

Dude, i'm aware of the fact that in your country things are hard and the way the economy "evolves", making good money seems sometimes impossible. But that doesn't mean you HAVE TO work yourself that hard and welcome in the sleep deprivation. As helpful warrior members have told you, $30 isn't much and should not depend on your lack of sleep. I have no idea what your skills are, but try doing some freelance jobs. Do some articles, take advantage of your computer skills if you have any, and apply for such online jobs. You'll make $30 in no time. And in the meantime, you'll be able to do whatever you like without being compelled to give up your usual activities.

Making $30 online is extremely easy. It just depends on how you want to make it(what CPA network, what affiliate marketing offer, what adsense niche etc).

Anyone with a computer and internet connection should be able to make money online.

It boils down to 2 things.

    1.The market
    2.The traffic

No its not easy to me. It just boils down to finding something that works quick

If I could start all over again. What I would do

1.Create 1 webpage to give stuff away free eg.

        Dan Brock's Deadbeat Super Affiliate

make sure your lead capture is above the fold

        2. Purchase one of those email packages that have like 100 emails, and just cut and paste your affiliate link into the email sequence.

        3.Make a controversial video.

        4. Drive traffic via Social media and Video sharing websites(there are 250 that i know, and stuff like tubemogul helps). Using a highly keyword optimized video

bad idea. instead of trying to increase the amount of time you give to IM, increase the amount of energy you give to this.

let me explain, it all boils down to how much work you are doing. if you spend 22 hours a day and are not focused, have very little mental and creative energy to put into IM, you will only be able to do a very small amount of work.

on the other hand, if you work only for 5 hours with full focus and great mental and creative energy, you can achieve twice as much as you did in those 22 hours.

not sleeping will only drain your creative and mental energy. when you are working for yourself, you will have to learn how to be most productive and sleeping is the most important part of being productive. watch this video by tony schwartz on being productive, it's one hour long but is definitely worth it.

No, seriously... you need to sleep.

If you want to work on depriving yourself before you meet your goal and/or rewarding yourself after, do it another way. Don't eat meat until; no sweets, maybe; don't turn on the tv or leave the house until you've reached you goal. But you must sleep.

Try it for a couple days and see if not sleeping motivates you. You'll probably just end up tired and less productive but hey all of our brains are wired just a little bit differently so if the concept of sleep depravation is what you need for motivation give it a shot.

You can also go 80s Miami Vice style and just buy an 8ball of cocaine but then you're gonna need to make more than 30$ every day

There is another option you may want to consider: polyphasic sleep. This is where you stay on a very strict sleeping schedule, but you only get 3 or 4 hours of sleep per day. Some plans allow for more sleep time.

You basically sleep for just a few hours in a row, then take short naps at regular intervals.

I experimented with it last year, but found it got in the way of other things.

Check with a doctor first to be sure you don't have any health issues that could cause problems.

In theory, you could have a lot more productive time every day for the rest of your life, not just until you make $30.

I wish sleep came so easily for me that I could schedule it... I usually sleep after I have worn myself out completely. Sometimes I will work for 48 hours straight, then crash for 16 hours. I know its not healthy, but it works that way for me alot.

How about earning 30 bucks a days BECAUSE you sleep? How about this experiment: Every night before you go to sleep repeat this mantra in your head: "I am going to make 30 dollars a day", "I am going to make 30 dollars a day", etc. I bet sooner or later you will have a revealing dream or just wake up one morning with the right idea in your mind. And you will be shocked how simple and little time implementing this idea will require.

I once did this setting up my first blog and site many years ago. I stayed awake for like 3 days.

    here is what I found:-

    1) your body will start craving for sleep

    2) your mind will start going bonkers

    3) little spots start appearing on the wall

    4) Those little spots are soon replaced by little green men talking to you.

    5) You will start to hallucinate badly.

Verdict: dont do it, not only is it bad for your health. The work you are putting in, will not be good.

That would be a good idea but I kinda already do that beside my University. I really want to start making money so I'm not really partying. And I already earned more than $30 but I want to start making at least $30 per day.

I think it's good that you're making some kind of serious committment.

I'm not sure the not sleeping thing will help you but having a committment and a definite goal will.

      Kindest regards,
      Andrew Cavanagh

P.S. In some cases it might be easier to make $250 a week or $1,000 a month than to make $30 a day.

Many of the best strategies bring in much larger sporadic sums of money rather than a regular daily income.

6 years ago, I actually experienced sleeping 3 hours everyday when I wanted to quit my day job. I would sleep at 4 am and wake up at 7 am.

But I still had the unlimited energy and motivation to create my site and products.

I believe that when you really want to succeed bad enough, something inside you (and the forces around you) will conspire to help you achieve your dreams.

However, I do NOT recommend you sacrifice your health (especially sleeping time) for anything, unless you're as desperate as me 6 years ago.

What I recommend you sacrifice are the TV watching, partying, Facebook browsing, phone chatting, and many other time wasters - you know what they are.

I see you've got gigs on Fiverr, how about adding more gigs that offer valuable services? If you're aiming for $30 a day, maybe post around 6 gigs in different categories and then allot some time to promote them. Aim for services you can accomplish in a few hours so you'll have some time left over to sleep.

It'a actually very hard to make good money on fiver consistently. I actually plan to offer some services here on warriorforum, also build a site for my services and I have an affiliate site in the health niche in mind to build which I hope will go well.

      How about this instead:

Don't sleep every until you've PUT A SYSTEM IN PLACE that will net you $30 per day.

You can't sit there starting at the screen and expect to make $30 within the first 24 hours after you create a blog, submit an article, or create 10 backlinks.

      It's called the snowball effect.

Like others have suggested here MagicAce, I suggest that you don't go through with this plan of "No Sleeping".

Instead, I'll give you another Challenging idea you can try, that can be just as "Exciting" for you.

ONLY Eat, Sleep and Work, until you have earned your first $30.

    This means:
No Communication with the outside world,
    No TV or Entertainment,
No Reading of Emails (unrelated to your work),
    No Checking Facebook, MSN, etc...
    Disable ALL Notifications and Distractions!

Now this IS a challenging and experiment you can take on. (And it's not crazy or dangerous).

I didn't want to just tell you "Don't go through with your plan" without leaving an alternative idea.

    So I hope that helps

Drastic? This is true... Here's how I see it and I'm going to try to give you some value rather than just call you crazy because frankly, most of us have experienced your frustration at some point.

Unless you are going to be doing some type of freelance work, I don't know of any other way you can just sit there and manifest $30 a day. Are there ways to get to that $30 a day mark?... You bet! We'll get to that in a second because I'm really trying to help you here...

The reason I say you can't just manifest $30 a day is because there are a lot of fractions that come into play.. You see, in order to make money in any business there has to be two parties involved. One is the seller, obviously, and two is the consumer. Now, you can try your best to influence these consumers to buy from you but ultimately it's the buyers decision. Unless, you are working hard to set up campaigns that are going to deliver long term success. Meaning.. You work once (hopefully) and you get paid forever. There's no point in damaging your health. Money comes, money goes and doctor bills are expensive!

So, here's a plan... There's no need to sacrifice sleep, health and all that other jazz to get to where you want to be. In fact, you'll just get frustrated and quit altogether. What you need to do is set dedicated times for your business. Just like regular 7-8 hour jobs. And in those time frames you work hard and as efficient you can. Get dedicated. Get a plan.

I'm not sure what your strengths and weaknesses are but if you don't mind, I would like to suggest something to you...

-Find a tiny niche with hungry buyers. Something that doesn't have a huge amount of competition but is still filled with people ready to spend money.

-Create your own info product for them to spend their money on. Make it helpful and deliver great value and usable information. No PLR garbage because you want to establish yourself as a respected person in that niche.

-Make sure you build a list of the people who buy your stuff. This way you can continue to sell them products, yours or otherwise. Make sure you always over-deliver to that list and build a good relationship with them (this is the key).

Now, there's much more that goes into it between the lines but that should get you started. The benefits here are that you work once - get paid forever! Also, you build your list of past buyers who are likely to buy again. I'm sure you see where I'm going.

I hope that helped, maybe even pointed you in the right direction and maybe you'll even get some sleep from time to time! LOL!

    Good luck to you!

Well, one way of doing it would be by using Google's external keyword tool to discover sub-niches via the related keywords that get pulled up when you do a search for the main niche.

Another way of doing it is through investigating niche forums to discover some of the common sub-niches that crop up again and again in different threads.

But hey...he has the magic ace, of course he can manifest a $30/day...

Jokes aside, if you don't sleep you will be tired, if you are tired you can't think/focus, if you can't think/focus you can't produce...end of the story, you end up into the same mortal circle of not sleeping at all, until one day you crash out and sleep over 20hours (i am not fluffing, done that...when I was young, but unfortunately it wasn't for the same intention as yours lol...but it was more fun for sure).

What I would suggest is, have a nap whenever you feel a bit dizzy or tired, wake up fresh, do some exercise, take a pen and paper ...sit in a sweet and relaxing corner of your room and get some ideas of making money...write them down, make a scheme of how you can reach up there, then get in front of your computer and start to execute your scheme..whatever the idea is..make sure you put it in act, you work on it, you execute it, you analyze it how to improve it or how to get rid of parts of your idea that don't really work..

$30 a day is not a small task, especially if you don't have a product/service to offer, if you are short on funds, if you have no ideas, if you are not determined to "work" on your idea (if you already got one), jumping from $30 to $50 or even $100 a day will be a much easier task tho as you will already know what you are doing, how you are doing it and which other directions you can take to expand or improve your idea..

      Just my 2 fluff cents

There are some things that most of the successful people in the world have in common, and there's a reason to that fact.

While it's true that you need to have a certain amount of craziness in you to become someone, you mustn't forget that there's a thin line between the good craziness and the bad kind.

One thing that you can notice among most successful people is that they have a lot of respect for their bodies and their health. They follow a healthy schedule with plenty of rest and exercise, and a good amount of time earmarked for work. When they work, they work with the same amount I was just talking about...

Get a schedule. It'll get you better results.

    My two cents.

If you start with nothing, and don't have the means to make something, why would pressuring yourself to continue on that path be a benefit?
With that said, you should worry more about creating goals that will lead you to making $30 each day. Instead of saying "I will make $30 every day", say "I will perform [insert action], then [insert action 2], then [action 3]. I will repeat this until I make $30 per day."
Now all you have to do is find the 3 things you need to do in order to make the money. Generally this is "Find/Create a Product/Service", "Offer said Product/Service", and "Drive Traffic to Product/Service". Once you have done this, you can skip steps 1 and 2, and drive traffic till you meet your goals.

Yeah agr4eed. Thats insane. Dont kill yourself for $30. Go and sleep once you wake up there will be much difference on your thinking state and mood. You will have a fresh mind for a fresh start then. If you badly need $30 then go to Odesk. Offer your superb service then give a $10/hour rate. You will be making $30 in 3 hours. Then you can get some sleep.

Unless you're doing something that directly ties dollars and hours, I think you're nuts.

It sounds cool, but sleep deprivation is not the way to think clearly.

It's like saying "I'm going to flip this coin, and I won't sleep until I get three heads in a row". You might get that three heads sequence right away and quit for the day when you could have gotten many more. You could also go through statistically probable streaks with zero, one or two 'heads' in a row and be up for days.

This made me think about something Steven Wagenheim says occasionally, something like how he only made $27 in his first three months (sorry if I've got the figures a bit skew, Steven - I can't remember it exactly). He's pretty successful now, but I imagine it would have been a different story if he'd tried staying awake for three months plus to make that $30 dollars in a day!

You'd just end up with permanent brain fog. If you're not sleeping properly then you're a long way from being properly awake too.

I like the raw ambition but suggest it lacks wisdom and balance.

You would not drive your car until it broke down ... treat your body well. Money is only money but life is more important.

With regards your $30 a day I would focuss on building a residual, repeating income. Otherwise everyday the effort spent the day before will be of no value.

Set up some sort of network of small sites that focus on niches (this is the model I use) or develop products with repetative incomes.

    Hope you break through

    Greetings Magic Ace,

I would offer to write some quality 500-word articles on the warrior forum at a price of four dollars each to five dollars each ... take your choice?

Make sure you research first, do a high-quality job, use the keywords at 3 to 4% and you will build up a customer base that will give you some monthly income.

Another option ... You could offer a gig on Fiverr or doing anything that you feel comfortable with?

Do a post in the jobs wanted as a VA ... list your experience and capabilities, and you will find opportunities that are offered to you.

This is not hard to do, all you need do have is motivation ... thenadd that to an opportunity and you will have success.

Wishing you great success and all the best ... Ron

It would imply you already had some strategy in place to make the money ..... I have to say that in the run up to Christmas I have my most successful time; that's because I choose to sell physical products which we stock in our store. I have a much harder time just trying to sell "fluff" - so I stick within my comfort zone.

The positive side is your "WILL" and "DETERMINATION". These are the two ingredients which are necessary for success.

As far as the negative side is concerned, do not overdo because it will result in many other problems (side affects) which may drag you from achieving your goals.

Making money on the Internet = Using your brain
Not sleeping = Tired and worn out brain
Tired and worn out brain = No money on the internet
No money on the internet = No sleeping, which is BAD

I recommend you to take proper rest, decide what you want to do, make a timetable and dedicate a few hours everyday to that 'task' and keep at it. It is always hard in the start you might get 0$ working for 5 hrs everyday for 1 whole year but it is never a waste! Because you learn along and at some point you will know enough on what works for you and what doesn't. Don't kill yourself for 30$ you can make 500$ a day with a fresh brain and body! take rest!
