So I uninstall PC Tools and install Kaspersky and it goes through its paces
and scans my disk.

What do you think it finds?

A trojan attached to...ding, ding, ding...the setup file for PC Tools anti virus.

No wonder my PC Tools was slowing my machine to a crawl, crashing my
Shockwave, browser and just about everything else.

It couldn't detect a virus attached to its own fricken install file.

Folks...you CAN'T make this stuff up.

    Yeh, there are some mean viruses out there that specifically target all the popular anti virus software, can leave your PC in a real mess when it works.

    Enjoy booting into DOS to clean up before reformatting.
