Yay! For Cable! Yippee!

I hope I'm not premature in my celebration, but I'm moving and was first advised there was no cable service in my new area.

Well today it looks like cable just moved into the area in the last 3-4 months.

I really don't want to get DSL - so cross your fingers for me!

It's comcast (which is not the best from my experience) but beggars can't be choosy.

My high speed broadband card shows massive roaming for the area, so that was not going to be helpful either.

And the cell phone? Forget it! No one will get me on it unless I drive into the nearest town.

Its comcrap? well like you said, beggars can't be choosy.
I am so waiting for FIOS to come to my area.I have been stuck with comcrap for about 10 years now. When they have an outage (which they almost always deny) I am the one in my area to inform them about it.
    Good luck with it!

    Andie,
I hate to say this but I would take comcrap over HughesNet.
BUT, almost everyone I have known that has used Hughesnet has used it for gaming, and frankly, gaming over satelite high speed just doesn't work.
For the average user Hughesnet might be just fine.
