Lenovo Desktop Computers

Does anyone have an experience with Lenovo desktop computers?
I know Lenovo isn't the one of the first names that comes to mind
when thinking about computers. I own a ThinkPad and I just love it.
I would take a miracle for me to another laptop that isn't a ThinkPad.

I had an HP desktop. That was five years ago and I'm still upset about it.
I'm not a fan of Dell. I've heard great thinks about Gateway, but my sister
hated hers.

Any suggestions would be most welcomed, but I am really looking for feedback
on Lenovo.

    Lenovo used to be called IBM.

    • Yep, Lenovo was the actual manufacturer, but IBM put its name on the computers. My ThinkPad has the IBM logo. It's old and has been through a lot, but it still keeps going. I just wonder if the desktops have the same reliability and dependability.
  • IBM sold its PC and Laptop divisions to Lenovo several years ago with permission to use the IBM name for 5 years. However, Lenovo ceased using that name after 3 years. R&D for IBM derived Lenovo computers is still done in America.

    But it is important to know that only the following Lenovo products are derived from IBM

    ThinkCentre - desktop
    ThinkPad - notebook

    Lenovo nominally classifies them as high end products for business use. The rest of Lenovo products, notably the IdeaPad notebooks are devloped by Lenovo itself. It is not clear how much, if any R&D is done in America.
  • Lenovo are okay, they are a damn sight better than HP and their support staff are tonnes better than Dell.

    I have always heard that the users of Lenovo ThinkPad are happy.

    I use HP products because they have a customer care center right here in Nigeria.
