Need some excel help

Embarrassed to say I haven't worked with excel in a while and forgotten a few things. I have a list of about 4k customers with all the common headings -- lname, fname, address, email, etc.

Some of the customers don't have an email address. I've forgotten how to clean the list and just have the ones with emails. I know it's using find and replace, but how do I search for a blank in the email column, and then delete the whole row?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

  • Try sorting the data by that column and the blanks should all be together, then you can highlight and delete rows. Haven't used it myself in awhile, but somewhere under the main menu is a 'sort' (a-z) option. Not much help I know, but it is doable.

  • you need to select all the data and then sort via the column. after that you will be able to see which ones that does not have email.

    good luck

  • On the menu bar, select data>filter>autofilter.

Then select the column with the blank addresses in it, then filter to just show the blnk lines. Highlight and delete.

Then remove filtering, and you should be left with the ones you want.

Other than that, what Andie said will work as well.
