    • Sad news, indeed. The Naked Gun and Airplane! were my 2 favorite comedies. I'll always remember him as Frank Drebin posing as Enrico Palazzo singing the National Anthem. And of course "......Bingo!".

R.I.P. dude, and thanks for all the laughs.
  • I enjoyed his work, too. I hope somewhere he's getting the last laugh.

    RIP Leslie.

    • While everybody talks about how funny he was in Airplane and Naked Gun,
I remember him mostly from "Forbidden Planet". He was, at one time, a
great actor. This only goes to show how versatile he was.

Here is the final 10 minutes of the movie.

Yes, Leslie Nielson was a lot more than Airplane and Naked Gun.

    • He was great and will be missed! I remember as a kid becoming a huge fan of the short-lived TV series "Police Squad" which later became the Naked Gun movies. It was canceled because it was too "visual" for TV!

The intro has to be one of the best of all time for TV.

      RIP Leslie Nielsen!
  • sad to hear... the naked guns series were amusing and he was even a better person than comedian
  • Awwww, what?!

His movies were fun. Seemed liked a damn cool guy.

    RIP, Leslie Nielsen.

(I had no idea he was that old :confused.

P.S. Had a science teacher at high school who was the absolute spittin' image of him. I used to get off taunting him with such lines as "I'm serious ... and don't call me Shirley" and "Red Rock Cider - it aint red, and it don't got rocks in it", in Leslie Nielsen's voice. He hated me!

  • Sorry to hear he is gone, I thought he was one of those rare people who was a real comic genius. Airplane is one of my all time favourite films. Loved that line which went something like 'We have to get these people to a hospital'...'Why, what is it?'..'Its a big building with patients in it ,but thats not important right now'.
