Nobody Could Sing Like Elvis

I've heard a lot of singers from all around the world, but no one with a voice as good as Elvis Presley.

The nicest female singer's voice I've ever heard would be that of Theresa Teng.

I shouldn't even comment here but as much as I loved him.... there are a lot of great singer and who is Theresa Teng? Really, the only reason I am commenting is because I grew up thinking I would be the first female "Elvis".... I can sing but alas.... I guess I am not that good and nowadays everyone sings via karaoke....

Still, I used to win stuff and if I do go out and sing I still have people sitting in awe and that makes me feel great! No I can't sing like Elvis (I am a girl {woman}) but there are singers with some awesome talent.... Carrie Underwood? Celine Dion? Keith Urban? While no one can make your insides come out like Elvis... I saw him as a teen in May of 77 just before he died and I didn't really want to go because I was 6-7 months along but OMG I am so glad I went because the experience was fanominal?

Not really arguing just saying there is some awesome talent out there

Yeah many tried to impersonate Elvis.

    But he's still the man.

No one can be like him.

My baby was all fidgety and whiny. Nothing I did calmed him down. Exasperated I played Elvis ("Suspicious Minds"), more for myself than for anyone else. The baby listened, calmed down, and fell asleep with a little smile on his face.

Elvis is a legend, one of a kind, you can't compare with him any singer nowadays, it is unfair.

You're right, nobody could sing like Elvis, just as nobody could sing like Nina Hagen.

Or Bob Dylan, or Lemmy, or Geddy Lee, or Tom Waits, or etc., etc..

Why do garden gnomes smell so bad?
So that blind people can hate them as well.

Excellent examples. I like them all.

Dylan was going to be my first choice, but I figured I'd go all out.

This is all subjective of course, and I don't mean to write this as anything more than my opinion, but I think Elvis's voice was outstanding technically and better-sounding than all of the examples presented in this thread, and every American Idol contestant that I've heard thus far. I'm just commenting on his singing. Elvis had his well-documented problems to be sure and he was really goofy in a lot of ways no doubt about it (a prerequisite to celebrity?).

I knew what you meant, and I think Elvis had a good voice as well. I was just playing on the idea that nobody had a voice like his -- good OR bad. So, I chose somebody that a lot of people would consider as having a "bad" voice. And if you listen to Nina Hagen, I'm sure you would agree that nobody sings like her, either.
