    Marley and Me
The Deep End of the Ocean

The Deep End of the Ocean really touched me as it's about a woman who's son gets kidnapped. The sons name was Ben and when I first watched this movie my own son - named Ben - was about the same age, so it really touched me and how terrible it would be to have that happen.

A friend of mine who's opinion I really respect told me Once was a great movie he thought I would like.

Rented it, couldn't watch it for more that 30 minutes.

Shirley Valentine - because most women wish they could escape at some stage in their lives
Schindlers List - because you would have to be made of stone not to be deeeply moved
Billy Elliot - because its about where I grew up

There are probably a few more but these spring immediately to mind.

I'm with you, Rikki. Great movie. But very Tarantino... and you sort of have to "get" Tarantino. It doesn't matter what movie he does, you have to like him, or you probably won't like the movie. Sort of like Kubrick.

As far as touching movies go, why don't I see A Walk in the Clouds here yet?

Personally, it's Cars. When Lightning goes back for the King... gets me every single time. And yes, I feel silly about it, but God what a great scene.

Oh yes, the movie about the 1995 world cup and all that. It was a good movie, but somehow I can't see how Mat Damon looked remotely like Francois Pienaar.
