It's hard to believe anyone is dumb enough to fall for that - but then again....

        Kay,
I have a long time friend who is sharp as a tack about people, situations, etc. etc.
I've been her personal tech support hot line and some of the simplest (to me) things with computer usage just do not always connect for her. Seems she had one of these paypal issues a couple of years ago and just got off PP completely.

Unfortunately, there is no shortage of 'victims' for this kind of thing -especially with a large boom of older people that just never added a lot of technology know-how into their days.

dang I am 'chatty' this morning<smack>

Andie, sadly I know many such people that you just described. College educated yet falls for every scam out there. And you can tell them over and over what to do and not do yet they still keep doing it.

This particular friend has gotten caught up into a few of them. She has gotten to where she sees something and just calls me for a 'scam' check (sure you can guess my reply on those...lol); and everytime she is like "shoot, I was afraid you'd tell me that''.........
that 'hope' of wanting to believe what you read/see online is strong for some
