Don't They Make These Snow Boots For Men?

Okay, my wife's got these snow boots that go up to just below her knees
so she can walk in this really high snow that we have.

A year or so ago, I went looking for boots like those for men. No luck. I've
even gone online.

Doesn't anybody make snow boots like that for guys so I can go out in
this mess without getting snow down my shoes?

Can't you just get wellies and wear long woolly socks? Probably would be easiest.

      Steve -

Hunting and camping stores have those knee high boots.

Apparently, men aren't allowed to buy efficient boots unless they are planning hunting or other-purposed outdoorsman excuse. I can't imagine what is macho about low boots with snow packed in against your feet - but...

As your wife has high boots and you don't - good excuse to send her out for supplies, isn't it?

    Steven,

Just use duct tape around the top of your shoes - or around the highest mens' boots you can find.

This doesn't look very stylish unless you are a ski bum in a ski town, but it will keep the snow out of your shoes. The sign of a true ski bum is duct tape repairs on winter gloves, and snowboarders' gloves.

When the snow was at its thickest here, I just continued to wear my everyday dark-brown Caterpillar Colorado boots, with the addition of waterproof socks. Didn't stop my jeans from getting drenched, but at least my feet remained dry (I think: they were frozen numb anyway).

They have special boots up in Northern Idaho and Montana - where the snow gets waist deep. They're called waders. Can use em to fish, too.

Wow, Steven, you're in New Jersey? I always figured you were in California, I don't know why. So, I guess I was wondering where in northern California would there be snow like that.

Anyway, yes, hunting and fishing stores, army surplus shops (or whatever they're called in New Jersey of all places).

(Maybe, drag shops too? I have no idea)

Yeah, I'm sure they have em...........but
I'm NOT sure that Steve would either look great or be
able to walk to functionally in stilettos.

Spoken like the true freakzoid we all know and love.

I can not only walk in them - I can dance and do flips and lifts in them. When I taught dance I had to wear 4" stilettos. All I had was little ankle straps to hold them on -

I think men should all try a pair of stilettos on at least once, wear them at least one hour, and walk at least a block and a half in them at one time just to get the real view of what kind of talent and pain threshold women actually have to have to dress according to male whims and fancies.

Check out Sorrels - I think they make men's boots, too - pricey and worth every penny. They are very popular boots around the ski resorts of Colorado - where there's some REAL snow.
