I don't have the need for a smart phone...working from home...but if I did, it would certainly be an iPhone. I am a self-proclaimed Apple snob, so couldn't imagine choosing the Android instead!

That's like comparing apples to houses. They are two completely different things.

The Apple iPhone is simply a phone.
Google Android is a Mobile Operating System.

The Apple iPhone runs on their own iOS, so comparing the two is ridiculous. Maybe they should make a comparison between the iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy S.

My son saved up and bought himself a mobile phone and it has the android system thingy - it is so cool!!!!

I'm not sure I really like touch screens, I just can't get them to do what I want, but his phone just does so much - pretty cool! Less expensive than an Iphone too!

I'm really not a fan of the touch screens either. Its kinda fun due to the cool factor, but after the novelty wears off it isnt such a big thing. But I do have big hands and big fingers so more often than not the touch screen registeres the wrong spot.
This happens most frequently on my GPS though, not on my ipod.

I just made the switch from iphone to android, and i couldn't be happier with the change. Android is going to be the better platform soon. In terms of usability it already is. But how many devices can you buy today that run iOS? 3? And how many different models of android phones, tablets, and netbooks are there?

Android has the right formula for long term market share. Apple does not.

Bollocks! There are tens of thousands of Android Apps, and many more being developed each day. I can bet that Android Apps will surpass iPhone Apps very soon.

I own everything apple. To the point that whenever my 3 yr old nephew sees any product with an apple on it, he thinks it belongs to his aunt (moi)!

I might give the android a try but i'll always have my faithful iphone 2G (I never update models if they are not broken) with me.

I moved from the 2g to a HTC evo. It's like being on a new planet.

Android does not totally beats iPhone in every area. But, on the app side of the competition, Android is winning the battle.
