wow! yeah it came to mind just now when i was typing the above post. i love 'hub-cab-diamond-star-halo' there was a gay boy bar that hit the haight ashbury in the 1980s called the Deluxe and it was the coolest design - it was all black and chrome inside and out. they had hub cabs all around the walls and pictures of old black cadillacs (or buicks, what was the deluxe?) well if you sat their drinking long enough which i loved to do being the only woman surrounded by 100 cute little guys (that won't hit on you lol) - anyway if you sit there drinking long enough you have a hub cab diamond star halo. or so you think. who knew an old lady's memories would be this sweet? lololol. |

Ok,am I blind or what? I bumped the WSO earlier today. I was just trying to see how fast it was moving down the food chain and I can't find it. Anywhere. I looked at the first 5 pages. Is it there and my eyes are just missing it? |

Kim, I'm also very glad you are feeling better. There is a app here that is supposed to help you track when is the best time to post/bump a wso. Of course, it is (another) of those things I have that I don't use, so cannot vouch but seems to work well. let me know if my link doesn't work and i'll pm it to you. maybe it will help ![]() hugs and best to you n yours ![]() andie |

Certainly with all due respect to all those involved, and I do mean massive respect...it's the copy that's keeping that WSO from taking off. We all know what sales copy needs to look like to be effective, and why in the world those tenets are completely disregarded for this WSO is beyond me. Folks are not going to do a 180 on human nature just because someone else has needs. For cryin' out loud. Get some real sales copy on that thing. The pity card has played it's self out for that WSO. I know that may make me sound like a jerk, but the proof is in the pudding. That's one of the reason's I'm linking to the Allstar page in my sig. Sending anymore people to the WSO page is like shooting pool with a rope. Not very effective. Rewrite the copy to reflect "what's in it for them". My apologies for the tough love. (I'm having a bad day so I may regret posting this... ![]() Much love to Kim. |

KJ - if that's the way you see it there's no need to apologize. Something's not working, so it might be a good idea to listen to you and do what marketers usually do -- test new copy.

Andie, I was just about to PM you and see how you were because I too had noticed your absence. KJ, You may be very right, and even if the pity card has played out (which most that know me know its not pity I've asked for) I really believe that it really is one heck ova WSO worth many times the asking price. Sal,I agree with you too. |

"werent people saying weeks ago that it was bad to hype up a charity wso, and the 'selfish money grubbing approach" was less than tactful?" John, I didn't see that (but I know there was a lot of things that went down that I missed while I was in the hospital, and when I got out I didn't pry.But I have to admit, I am curious why the WAS account got limited to the WSO forum only.) I also know the couple of things I did see make me change my mind about some of the long time Warriors that I had respect for. My parents used to tell me this all the time.I know someone famous said it but I don't know who. "No good deed goes unpunished". Whether it is bad to hype up a charity WSO or not, just this past week I saw what appeared to me to be a cookie cutter WSO fashioned after the one those helping me pulled together. The only difference was they were donating their WSO results to the Canadian Cancer Society,or something like that. It's a good cause, but I could not help but notice how it was a shadow of our WSO. Well,as they say, flattery is the best compliment. |

I think the money making potential needs to be emphasized. There was a great testimonial posted by DaddyKool concerning someone who used just two of the tactics and made $353.00. It may be a good idea to revisit the copy.

I was thinking that it might be helpful to draw up a road map for the WSO. It is just such a massive offering that if we created a table of contents, a general intro, and then direct them to specific contents, for example: if you are an offline marketer go here and here if you want to drive traffic to your site go here if you want to..... go here and here Any feedback? I'd be more than willing to work on this if you guys think it's a good idea. Have a great one! Merlyn |

See here's the thing...this is surely a terrific offering by a lot of good Warriors who put their products in the package. It's the benefits to the buyers that should be stressed here, not what the money will be used for. It's a lot like serving cake where 95% of what's on the plate is icing as opposed to cake. It's backwards. The sales copy should be about the product and not rely on Kim's unfortunate condition to get the buyers excited about purchasing. That can be mentioned, of course, but just like the icing it should only be an addemdum to what is being focused on. And who said using tried and true sales copy would ever degrade the purpose of this WSO? Were they nuts? I fully agree copy that solely relies on hype would be out of place for the WSO, but as I understand it there is tremendous value for the purchasers without the need for over-hyping the offering. Here's a thought...you've tried the current approach and reached a point of diminishing returns. Perhaps it would serve the WSO better to have a new subject line as well as new copy. I know that's easy for me to say as I'm not the one who will be doing the copywriting. And I write a lot of copy so I know how hard that can be. It's just a personal ache for me that folks who are in the niches this WSO targets aren't taking advantage of the huge offer and thereby automatically helping Kim's cause by making a purchase. And yes, I am attributing a large part of that to the lack of proper sales copy. That is certainly not a dig on the fine folks who worked so hard on this project (for the record I contributed nothing to this effort) and perhaps as someone who's looking at it from the outside I see things differently. Just like those who have visited the WSO page and hit the back button, if you get my point. Anyway, uber kudos for the effort so far. All the best, KJ

KJ, The last few bumps I have tinkered with the subject line, but not touched the actual ad copy. I wish I could write good copy. And while KJ said he contributed nothing, he did make The Kidney Walkers logo when we did the kidney walk, and that lil picture in his sig is $60 a year. |

I actually think that all the warriors that have helped and supported me,in all ways, should be learning a lot about marketing by studying how this has evolved. I know I have learned a lot not only about marketing, but about human nature too. In the long run some of us may get chewed up and spit out,but end up better because of it. |

![]() Seriously I agree - with: product should be emphasized should have a road map or index to list what products are included - above the lengthy testimonials and blah blahs pity card has played out hype sucks copy should be upgraded - although it has improved. I noticed from day one Times New Roman 12 font - (whaaaat?) I tried to change it but my changes wouldn't save. (I think Dr. Mani version got the good fonts.) Needs Giant Fonts Some Red ... although it has improved from Day 1 I didn't want to say anything because the spirit was so lovely - I felt guilty for being what I would call a 'soul murderer' when people smack you down when you are trying to do something. Not that I am so much a marketer but have worked with some 'top guns' and learned alot in 7 years. I have learned that they keep REINVENTING themselves. Something doesn't work - get rid of it - try something else and keep trying - 'you can't fail unless you quit'... Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Love, Pate', the soul murderer.

John Durham might be somebody who can get what i am saying and maybe Kim n KJ too and hope others... (Sal and all animalovers) et al Hear this as if Sophia Petrillo was telling you about back in the daze in Sicily (don't forget the purse perennially on her wrist). ok (golden girls sit com) AND You know how The Holy Spirit Image or Icon is the Dove (Bird) think of how far out birds are being up in the air and not having the same gravity we do ok - they are up there with the nitrous oxide and what all. So any way here is Sophia - I am sitting here and I have had the week or so from hell as i always do when we have a system change - (but then i love it again when all the wrinkles smooth out) I have some people that are so dim and so needy (and fricking maddening) = that refuse to follow directions given 2-3-4 times to complete their application ok. that is like 8 messages back and forth. sophia: so i can be real salty at this point and i know any 'service' $hould be warm and fuzzy unemotional. so i have to constantly remind myself not to let somebody see my real wrath. So just as I was writing a response to someone like this on the helpdesk, these BIRDS came near my windows and I am telling you they really let me have it. They were telling me to always be nice; and they were adamant about it in an ironic way. (like get a clue chick you should know this) (yesterday you see i went ballistic on false prophets and trolls from California to Tasmania. (self-defense) saying what i really think period, which can be seen as BLATANT whatever it is. I can also go BRUTAL from there (rare these daze). ...even though I spoke the truth the Spirit said to me afterward that I had never yet learned the virtue of not reacting to hostility or chaos (the love your enemy and forgive your trespassers routines) AND passive non-violent resistance. ![]() ....gotta b unemotional ya know. business, service and spiritual. PAssive (lol closest i can get to that is passive aggressive omg) so i told a public figure: shut up stupid old fool+some other derogatory adjectives and I posted it on a few social net sites. (and now here lol) hehehehe it was so much fun. Any way you are an old soul John. That's why I am telling you this. Regards, Sheeza the one who said it. (the one from the OT 'i need help thread) ![]() ironically. eheheheh:rolleyes: |

Diane, yes we did! We celebrated being married 12 years on Sunday. Being a "blended" family there have been bad times as well as good, but there isn't anyone else I would have wanted to spend them with. Oh yeah, married for 12,but she says we have been together for 15. Seems a lot longer than that to me. ![]() |

Kim - I was remembering that you said your doctor took you off a heart med. Well - my father was having problems and they were going to do some procedure or another -- he went in for that and they also took him off a heart med instead. Seems maybe the pharmaceuticals are putting out another medicine that's making people worse instead of better. It's really a good thing that doctors are getting savvy to the way that the pharms are jacking around research to get their products out the door. I'm wondering if this was the same drug as the one you were taken off of and I'm betting it is. What was the name of the drug? I'd like to see if it's the same one. |

Sal, It was Plavix. They took me off while I was in the hospital then had me resume it when they discharged me. Even the drs can't agree on if I should take it and if so,for how long. One dr wants me to take it 1 month, the heart dr wants me to take it at least 2 months.Something about the stents can be rejected if I don't take it. I have been out a week today and so far the bleeding has NOT resumed. |

"Doctor, what should I do?", he asks. "Well son, if I were you I would get married and move to Montana", says the doc. "How would that help?", he asks. "It won't", said the doctor, "but it will be the longest 6 months of your life"... ![]()

Here is another one from the naturopathic side. Everywhere I read - Parsley leaves are the best thing for your kidneys. It is cleansing, dihuretic, blah blah blah. However then in other places including the labels of parsley leaves caps it sometimes says 'people with kidney disease should not use this'. OK - I don't have kidney 'disease' but I have kidney 'issues' and hope to prevent it developing into a disease. But WTF??? Why is something that is good for kidneys bad for kidneys? I am taking the parsley leaves and hoping for the best. But just not every day - a few times a week - Man the Vitamin A is like giving a shot to my eyes - who knew colors were this bright? I am drinking hot water and lemon juice all day long (replacing coffee). I know this will help new stones from forming.

Pat - there's a difference between eating something in or as food and eating pharmaceutical amounts of it. Parsley isn't considered food - it's an herb and so saying, if you eat large doses it can compete with pharmaceutical meds. That's why people often have to decide one or the other. Anyone buying an herbal substance who is taking meds needs to ask a pharmacist about possible conflicts.

OK - but that was not my issue. I don't take pharmaceuticals. My issue was: Everywhere I read - Parsley leaves are the best thing for your kidneys. It is cleansing, dihuretic, blah blah blah. However then in other places including the labels of parsley leaves caps it sometimes says 'people with kidney disease should not use this'. How can both be true? I guess by degrees - e.g., healthy kidneys can use some parsley but once they blow the opposite is true. |

The thought of getting that shot in the eye was really much worse than the actual event. The put numbing drops in the eye for about 30-45 minutes then getting the actual shot only took seconds.I'd say fighting the impulse to blink was very hard. |
