not SW but made me grin ![]() A cowboy from Sweetwater,Texas, walked into a bank in New York City and asked for the loan officer. He told the loan officer that he was going to Paris for an International Redneck Festival and would be gone for two weeks. He needed to borrow $5,000 but he was not a depositor in that bank. The bank officer told him that the bank would need some form of security for the loan, so the Redneck handed over the keys to a new Ferrari. The car was parked on the street in front of the bank. He produced the title and everything checked out. The loan officer agreed to hold the car as collateral for the loan and apologized for having to charge 12% interest. Later, the bank's president and its Officers all enjoyed a good laugh at the Redneck from Texas for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral for a $5,000 loan. An employee of the bank then drove the Ferrari into the bank's private underground garage and parked it. Two weeks later, the Redneck returned, repaid the $5,000 and the interest of $23.07. The loan officer said, "Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out on Dun & Bradstreet and found that you are a highly successful investor and multimillionaire with real estate and financial interests all over the world. Your investments include a large number of wind turbines around Sweetwater, Texas . What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow $5,000?" The good ol' Texas boy replied, "Where else in New York City can I park my car for two weeks for only $23.07 and expect it to be here when I return?" |

If they would make organ donation the norm -allowing people to opt Out rather than the way you currently have to Opt In......there would probably be enough organs to go around. I wouldn't want to have to choose who 'deserves' to receive a 'better' kidney, that job would suck ![]() |

"I saw a subliminal advertising executive, but only for a second." Hopefully I answered all you need Jim, Just a small update for all that are interested. Today, March 1st is the day that my private insurance and Medicare switch places. Medicare becomes my primary and my private insurance becomes my secondary. What I think this means is that the secondary will pick up the 20% that medicare doesn't cover, because if you are unfamiliar with medicare, they only cover 80% of most expenses. I completely lose my private insurance July 1st, so I am hoping to get a transplant before then. If I don't the expected medical costs will skyrocket. But I remain optimistic. For those that have kept up with the situation,I have received several offers from Warriors to donate one to me,but for various reasons they would not have worked out. But as I said, I remain optimistic! |

After picking up a hitchhiker, I always like to drive in silence for a while. Then I say, "So, how far do you think you are going?" Then I pause and say, "Put on your seat belt. I got something new I want to try. I saw it in a cartoon but I think I can do it." S.W.

| Some people say I look a lot like my Dad...Martin Sheen.... ![]() Kim, Had the best day yesterday almost 400 visits and 100 unique's, nothing too spectacular... but not too shabby for a two week old blog. Getting better daily. I can't get over how none of the tracking...ever...matches up..even though I discount the same bots and such, on each tracking..oh well, close enough I guess. I have three, or four.... counting aw stats. I don't put Goog analytics, because a large % of the time when any of my sites hangs up loading, it's analytics. The drippin irony of that one... since loading time IS counting now. How close are you to what we talked about? Some of the top ones are dialysis machines and wearable dialysis machines...and from what I read the wearable are still "experimental"...do you know anything about the wearable dialysis machines? Even with google alerts it's slim pickens for information. I can still write a few articles...but if you have any info please let me know. Can't get the Facebook like widget to update, no matter what I do with the code...( for instance.. the latest post by Kevin Riley) that may be because of the updating of the code over there..? we'll see after March 11... although the likes are one ahead...so that's keeping up. Anyway that's the Friday morning update ![]() ![]() |

The wearable... are strap on with a belt...from what I read..I think implantable are completely different I will have to read up a little. I haven't even seen the implantable keyword.. just checked though only 50,000 results on that. I'm going to start going for more competitive keywords. for the keyword kidney basics in humans We are on the U.S. first page top three spots at the moment. But only 190,000 results. I haven't checked on the others lately but a couple were doing pretty good. I wouldn't mind being able to track the click thru's on the facebook like widget...but I don't remember how ( I am a home mechanic at coding)..some kind of .ht-access redirect I guess...if any one reading this knows how..please let me know. Let me know as soon as everything is ready, and I'll rearrange and start writing as appropriate. Jim |

Charlie Sheen just had a live internet stream from his house. I tied in with twitter and blasted the facebook link about 20 times. The twitter window was going by about 5 times faster than normal. So.... I don't know if it did anything. But it was fun while it lasted. "Charlie be real winner like a facebook page....donate for a kidney...etc..." with the link of course... terrible show...but what the heck...never know who saw it. Jim |
