Help Solve my Itunes Problem

Hi guy's,

I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with Itunes but it's driving me nuts

Ok, i have hundreds of songs on there and for some reason i can only play the last 3 songs that i downloaded?

I think the main reason is that i downloaded Itunes again on my PC and may have overwritten my previous files if that can happen.

My songs are still showing but i simply cannot play them and also the images of the albums and songs have gone.

I am using Windows 7 and if anyone can be of any help then i'll be very grateful.

Thanks in advance.

  • Hmm, I mean.. what's it do when you click on the song to play it? Does it not even recognize that the song is there?
  • Yes, buddy it just doesn't play
  • Do you have the most recent version? Also, where did you get your songs.. are they from the iTunes store or from sharing sites. (Frostwire/Limewire/etc.)
  • Yes it's the newest version and most of the songs are from Itunes and there are some i have loaded from CD's.
  • Try changing the id3tags on one of the songs and see if it will play.

Right click on a song --> "Convert ID3 Tags" ---> check mark "ID3 tag version:" and select v1.0.

See if that works. (Try all 4 versions actually)

Let me know if that works bud.

Edit: Well, that's how it is on a Mac.. maybe on W7 you have to go to Properties or something after you right click.. not sure how iTunes looks on W7
  • It doesn't give me the option to convert tags?
  • Hmm... Wish I could look at your iTunes.. idk how the Windows version looks! You have Skype? We could screen share if you want.
  • If i go into the Itunes folders and click on each of the songs then it automatically loads them to Itunes

One thing i can't get though is all my downloads from Itunes as when i open that folder there is nothing there???? How can i get them back?? They must be in Itunes somewhere???
