I started out trying to make money a few years ago. Until recently I have been some what of a procrastinator. I start a project and then get bored and start another. This post is about what I have done, and what I am doing now to correct all the mistakes that I made in the past.

First, I got started making money online with Cashcrate. This site is not bad, but it will not earn you a living. I say this because offers and surveys make good extra money money but not real money. I have been doing this for going on 3 years. Still haven't figured out that referral secret

I tried clickbank, but failed miserably. I failed because I had no idea what I was doing and just did not put an honest foot forward. I wanted quick cash and when it was not there, I quit. This led me to the most profitable venture that I started.

Writing for others. I started writing articles for others. I started out by charging $1/100 words. This is a easy way to get quick money. People were paying me and I started earning. It was not tons of cash, but it was a nice bit. The mistake that I made here was taking on too much. I thought I could do something, promised my work, and did not deliver. This led to more refunds than customers. Mistakes happen and its how you rebound.

I studied SEO and keywords. Now from here and moving forward I have decided to go into blogging.

My plan is simple. Write articles on infobarrels and ezinearticles. Promote my blogs with my own writing. Build blogs with wordpress using free hosting from byethost and promote them. At the same time build hubpages and squidoo lenses.

I have started the hundred articles in a hundred days challenge on ezinearticles and the 30 hubs in 30 days on hubpages.

I just started the challenge on ezinearticles yesterday and submitted 2 articles for approval.

I started hubpages 5 days ago and have build 9 hubs so far.

I am working on getting a niche and some content for my first niche blog.

this sounds like a good deal for ezinearticles and hubpages, they should make a killing off your content

I'm not against those sites for diving traffic but It might not be a good idea to spend that much time there making content for someone else.

how do you plan on making money? Specifically? I couldn't figure it out from reading your plan above.

I think a long-term plan to submit articles reliably and consistently to InfoBarrel is a viable and interesting one. Perhaps a "very viable" and "very interesting" one. It really is, though, a long-term plan.

(I confess I'm not totally clear from your post what the value will be to you of the other sites you mention, unless perhaps as part of a backlinking strategy for your InfoBarrel articles?)

I agree entirely with DPR above that it's clearly a very good deal for EZA and HubPages, though (which would be kind of concerning to me, I have to admit) ...

My plan is to build niche blogs. Starting with one and moving on after it starts working for me. The plan with hubpages and ezinearticles is for backlinks and traffic. I have not quite gotten the hang of the whole traffic secrets that a lot of people know here. But, I am working on it.

Infobarrels is one thing that I decided to start as a project. I read Amy Bass's debt free goal blog and decided that I would give it a shot. I am not trying to make a living from hubpages or infobarrels, just some extra cash coming in. The majority of my income I am hoping will come from the niche blogs.

You know I started this thread to document my progress. I figured it would be a great way to keep myself accountable for everything. At the same time, let others know how I am doing along the way.

At the same time I felt that I needed to share this bit of information. If you are looking for a topic for a blog post. Maybe checking out whats trending at the moment. Today it seems that the Zodiac sign change has gone viral.

If you can figure out a way to intertwine your niche with whats trending, its a great way to get some quick traffic. I believe that Twitter would be great here.

Let me know what you all think of this idea.
