PRICELESS ADVICE: Newbies, DO NOT Follow This Wrong Path Unless You Want Your WSO to Be A Failure

- Do NOT send bulk, copy-and-paste PM to other warriors, especially to well respected warriors, asking them if they would like to have a review copy. It pisses me off (though I'm still learning) and I'm sure it does to other well respected warriors too. Sending such bulk PM is a sign of disrespect and some people like me might see it as spamming which is exactly what it is.

- Do NOT send review copies to veteran, old, experienced warriors before the WSO goes LIVE. Allow the WSO to go LIVE first then tell whoever cares to listen that you have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...review copies, I'm sure that you will get a deluge of PMs.

- Do NOT expect all old, veteran, experienced warriors that honored your request for a review of your WSO to send the feedback to you via email or PM. I would prefer posting my feedback behind your WSO and I'm sure many old, experienced, veteran warriors prefer that too unless you don't want an HONEST feedback. If your product really has value that shouldn't bother you at all.

That is it for now. I will add more if there is any.

Oh! And you're free to add more if you have any but say it in a polite and newbie-friendly way.

Cheers.

It seems as if I'm walking alone this time but I'm happy I have told all of us the way I feel when I see such things like PM addressed to many people just because someone is looking for a "Senior Member Warrior" + "War Room Member" to review a WSO that nobody is even sure that it's going to be approved.

I think I'm absolutely entitled to my own opinion.

I completely disagree with this advice.

If you get a bad review, you will want to fix it before your WSO goes live - right?

And if you get a good review, you will want to put it in your WSO sales copy - right?

Obviously, you need to get reviews before you go live. That's the way I always do it. That's the way I always expect others to do it.

As far as I understand most people DO in fact prefer to get the review as well as give the review before the WSO. The creator can then use that review to better tailor their product and make it more effective for their customers.

If you were not to give out review copies before hand you would not have a clue how well the product will actually benefit the customers. I would not want to go into something like that blindly and possibly wasting peoples time, money, etc.

Another point is that when the reviews are conducted before the WSO goes live, it can be included in sales copy. That is huge because it builds trust in the potentail customer, as well as backups the quality of the product (unless they are bribed reviews).

CD, I second this. There's absolutely nothing wrong with sending out review copies prior to a WSO going live, as a matter of fact this is the way it should be done, especially if your WSO material is lengthy, and requires some time for the reviewer to digest properly.

The faster you can insert good reviews in your WSO sales copy, the better it'll generally do.

      Caliban,

I understand and agree with you completely.

What pisses me off is that some of them don't want honest feedback. They just want you to put a seal on the product with the keyword "perfect product; no problems at all".

How do you expect me to review a product without actually using it to see if it really works? After all, the product owner tested it, maybe more than 1 week, before asking me to review it within the next 6 hours because his WSO will go LIVE in the next 7 hours.

Theres no wrong in asking someone to review their product. Especially when your getting a review copy.

If you don't want to review it, simply ignore it.

People are looking for advice and help, thats why they come to these type of forums.

I can see where you're coming from and I don't think PMing random people pimping your product is good, but I don't see the problem with getting reviews before your wso - that's the way I've always done it because I want the product to be right before I offer it here. I've usually already done all that for the actual product website anyway, but I don't think it's unreasonable to get reviews before offering it here.

I know some people literally only create a wso from nothing and don't have it offered anywhere else (I know that's against the wso tos but it seems to happen a lot) so I can imagine some people literally haven't sold any of their product before they run their wso so reviews might be the first time they've had any feedback about it.

I know that's not the right way to do it but there are more and more newbies offering wsos so I guess you're right to try and share what might be a better way for them to operate.
