Do You Have A Chauffeur?

In my country, to have a chauffeur is a symbol of wealth.

How many of us here are so wealthy that they have a chauffeur?

How much do you pay him daily, weekly, monthly...?

I don't even have a bicycle right now but I'm confident that I will soon buy a car and probably be so wealthy that I would get a chauffeur.

    Good luck with that!

Personally, if I make enough money I'd buy a car that I love driving myself. With 4 kids and needing space for 6 and a wheelchair our choice is limited.

I'll know I've made it financially when I've got a Ferrari on the drive for weekend blasts.

Probably he paid more for a PC than what a bicycle could of cost him. I guess that's why he found it funny... sort of mocking him it looks to me...

What has not having a bike got to do with having a computer with internet connection? I can't see any correlation.:p

Hell no. NOBODY drives my car. I don't even go on some roads I travel as a passenger in someone else's car. When I'm on a narrow path with nothing but air for thousands of feet beside me, I want control of whats going on.

Even in the city - if someone wanted to drive, they'd need their own damn car because they aren't driving mine.

I will admit that my friends and I used to hire a limo when we went to the ciity to see a concert or go to a nightclub or somewhere else we knew we'd be in no condition to drive when it came time to go home and had too many of us to fit in a cab. It might have been a "show" of wealth, but the bottom line was it wasn't costing any of us too much more than a taxi would have.

In the U.S. most people don't have chauffeurs. Even the wealthy people. Unless you're like a movie star or billionaire type. But even they seem to be out and about driving their own expensive cars.

But you can rent a limo and a limo driver for pretty cheap. So you can pretend for a day or so.

I had friends who lived in Thailand and they had a driver/chauffeur but it was dirt cheap over there to hire one. And a good idea since Bangkok driving can be crazy!

Although I drive my own car, I do have a fleet of chauffeurs working for me but I share them with other people in the subway. I'm nice like that.

That is rough. It's truly a form of torture for most guys. It's one of the painful sacrifices and heavy crosses I have to bear in life, too.

I wouldn't want one all the time. I still like to drive.

Now going out on the town with my wife and friends
            is different.

I would like to be able to do that.

showfer << That's how we should spell it. Just like Hooked On 'Phonics' should be spelled, Foniks, why shall we try to confuse our words with meaningless extra letters?

Anyways, having a SHOWFER would be really cool. I'd want a showfer that's not very professional though, one that likes to have a good time and doesn't mind getting a couple tickets if we're in a pinch and need to get somewhere fast

How much does a showfer cost anyways :p

King Shiloh, you say you don't have a bicycle? I recommend pick up one of those tandem bicycles with 2 sets of pedals, sit in the back and let the guy in front do all the work. (he can think you're pedaling, but you're really not. So it's kind of like having a SHOWFER, but your showfer doesn't know he's a showfer.
